Cannock Albion
We are considering getting one of the on site lock ups and stashing cans/wine every morning, so only having to returning to lock ups when required rather than having to get back to campervan field. Anyone know if there are any restrictions on what can be left in the lock ups?

rexclark
I need cans of spirit and mix for breakfast, it wouldn't be a festival without.
paulo999
I really fancy taking pre-mixed spirits with me this year but if I was to mix morgans & coke, wouldn't it go really flat and horrible, or would it taste alright? Any ideas for pre-mixing spirits? lotsa love xxx
ukslim
(Beer) Probably something shite, it's always shite beers at festivals I've been to. Tuborg perhaps, they seem to do alot of festivals Edited February 7, 2010 by ukslim
LusciousLucy
Morgans Spiced with Apple juice = tastes like apple crumble Vodka/spirit jellies - make sure if you are making and taking, you make them up with at least 2 or 3 times as much jelly as normal (or add extra gelatine) so they go really tough, cos the buggers melt pretty quickly out of a fridge on a regular single mix. Also make em up in plastic shot glasses (buy em bulk in cheap off ebay, some even come with lids). Stick them in a solid cool box with homemade shelves so they dont fall about. (Practice for a few months before the fest maybe? ) Pre-mixed margaritas are lush. Waitrose has started selling wine bags for £9.99 that have the equivalent of 2 bottles of really good wine in (cant remember which Aussie brand though). They have a nifty handle and decent tap on. Saw them the other day and thought they would be perfect for the G. It could only be a matter of time before Skittles Vodka was mentioned on here! rachbon
(Beer) No no. Last year there were two very decent bitters (Otter Bitter and Bath Ales Gem) at all the bars. And lots more at the Red Flag. Of course there's some identikit megaswill lager or other everywhere too. Carlsberg/Carling/Kronenburg. Laura_Babs
I think I usually bring about 10 500ml bottles of pre-mixed spirits. It's usually vodka mixed with either orange juice or cranberry and apple juice. Never had the problem of needing to mix fizzy drinks as I like my vodka with juice! If I was going to I would probably buy a crate of six cans of coke and bring them with me and mix on site. I already buy a crate of cheap Lidl's Red Bull equivalent for the mornings. Put it on the sack trolley and it is easy to carry (not that I push the sack trolley but still! ) I also usually bring some pre-mixed cans of Pimms, a bottle or two of wine decanted into bottles and we share a crate of beer between me and my boyfriend. APC
Take spirits in in plastic bottles, get mixers in there. That is the total best way. Bag in box or an old 3L robinsons bottle for holding wine.
dirty_dog
I'm with you there... I'd rather buy a cold beer/cider, rather than sup from a warm can! If you're going to take booze, just take a box of red wine - doesn't matter if it gets warm, and you can just carry the bladder inside the box... not the box bit! APC
why would you want to take it out of the box?

cham08
Best thing about bags of wine is you drink one on the first day, remove the bag, blow up and use it as a pillow for the rest of the festi. Homemade cola cube vodka is also a winner.
CiderFiend
Always put up with warm cans of cider at fests before, but this year i'm going to branch out. I plan on being drunk 99% of the time this year.

parTy animal
Take 1 litre of cheapish Vodka, 4 large bags of skittles, remove green skittles (eat), pour remaining skittles in to vodka bottle, shake twice a day for 3 or 4 days, filter vodka through muslin cloth, mix with equal parts lemonade, put in freezer, take to Glasto, drink, fall over. Kyelo
Less bulky and easier / lighter to carry. Never had a problem with a split bag *touches wood* If you see a girl covered in red wine and crying, you will know you jinxed me!!
