Alcohol Ideas

I really fancy taking pre-mixed spirits with me this year but if I was to mix morgans & coke, wouldn't it go really flat and horrible, or would it taste alright?

Any ideas for pre-mixing spirits?

should be ok if ya take a big bottle and try not to shake it about a lot. i just normally take 2litre bottle of soft drink and bottle of spirits (in plastic bottle) and mix it when i want it.

I tend to decant a bottle of vodka into two plastic 1 soda bottles, and take a few cartons of OJ with me, and then top up the vodka.

I'm thinking of taking a red-wine box this year. Asda do a three bottle equivalent for a tenner, might try that, quite compact.

i've started premixing my spirits cause it just saves the hassle when i get there.

i usually take voda with fanta, it doesn't really go flat but it still takes alright if it does.

i take passoa aswell, just with a wee bit of fanta. it tastes nice straight though, it's not too strong.

Why on earth would it go flat? As long as the CO2 isn't escaping, you're not losing fizz.

Tip the spirit into the fizzy drink bottle though, not the other way round. Otherwise you'll lose precious fizz as you pour.

But I agree, why not buy the coke when you get there?

i just buy 2l bottles of lemonade or whatever from the grocery sort of stalls. think it's a couple of quid but it saves you carrying it from the car/bus.

Rachelbon - I think that the stalls in the market areas that sell everything sell the large 2l bottles of coke and diet coke for £3.

I might have to take down a couple of bottles of Irn Bru - vodka needs it!

aye there's plenty of them in supermarkets. but i prefer just taking bottles.

do they have plenty shops selling mixer at glasto? or is it a pure trek to find somewhere depending on where you're camped?

Better than that, there are stalls that sell pints of beer! I think they call those stalls 'bars'.

not bothered about it being cold. i might just take vodka and get my mixer down there. did that for leeds last year. they had a supermarket in the campsite

yeah lattitude had a sort of co-op type shop in the campsite. it's a great idea. sold papers and milk and sweets and most things you would want. more fests should do this.

take 4 or 5 cans with you in your bag, and buy 2 or 3 pints throughout the day when it's quiet. sorted!

Did anyone else try the blackberry wine some stall was selling on the way up to Shangri-La (or that general area)? Was lovely stuff, £6 a bottle too which wasn't too bad.
