Made a topic asking of the chances of him playing last night - might need to start Tom Waits, David Bowie, Stevie Wonder, Rolf, Bjork, Sonic Youth and Idlewild threads tonight and watch the legends roll in :P

Will see GS-H over almost anybody I think.

Is the newest one still The Eternal? I wouldn't mind I do love that album. I'm not very optimistic about festival shows though I'm sure I read somewhere they're not very keen on doing festivals anymore.

until very recently he wasn't keen on doing any shows. At the first show he did for ages a few months back most people thought he wouldn't show (but he did).

As for festie shows, I reckon he's got over it - he's booked for three that I know of.

Hmmm, he can be good, done some dogshit and some diamonds. I've got mixed feelings about him, really

I love his stuff like whitey on the moon etc. Not so keen on the sentimental claptrap like 'Save the Children' and the less said about 'The Subject was Faggots' the better :P .

Think that the last time I was due to see him in the early 90s he didn't show.

Error: Glastonbury WILL be televised. :P

But the revolution won't be. :P

What am I talking about? Some of you will have got it already, but I guess others won't have.

Ladies and gentlemen, Glastonbury 2010 will proudly represent to you a legend of the 70s, a Glastonbury headliner of the 80s (who returned to play again in the nineties), refreshed after his 'holidays' courtesy of the US govt ....

.... the (barely :P) living legend that is Mr Gil Scott Heron!! :P

This will be amazing, Gil was a major influence on the birth of Rap music. I recently saw a documentary he made about Washington DC, viewing the poor run down suburbs near the Capitol, discussing the political inconsistencies in the area, interspersed with his songs.

    • Start another one...    Il go with, Florence Road -  who im sure will be Flo-Ro eventually. Getting rave reviews including from myself, Probably will be on many more peoples radar post this festival season, doing quite well up to this point, bear in mind they still have not released an album. Putting them on Woodsies for now but this could easily end up on Other.

    • Hi all, first timer at trees this year volunteering with Oxfam. Any tips or suggestions of must-sees other than the main stages on my time off? I keep seeing chats about the silent disco?    Also any smaller bands recommendations? Sprints / Arcane Roots / High-Vis style. Cheers all 🤝
    • Tell me more. Last Latitude we went to was '21 - my son was young & had a wagon so we snuck good beers in that way. I remember there being some Brooklyn IPA on sale which was tolerable - are you saying they don't sell anything other than Carlsberg now?! 😳
