Hello everyone,

I've been going to festivals around europe for a while now but this is the first year I'm thinking of to Pukkelpop. I was just wondering if you guys could give me some basic info about the following to help me make up my mind to go or not..

-How late does the festival usually close at night. We normally like festivals that go till 5am with dance/techno/D&B/Rave etc. acts

-After it closes is there party tents elsewhere to go to before we go back to the campsite

-How much of the festival is open air. I like marquees/tents more than open air stages especailly at night

-Is there a well run campsite i.e. showers, food store, beer store, close to the festival

-It said there are 8 stages but I've heard people talking about only 5. How many are there

-average cost of a beer/hamburger/full meal

Thanks guys, hope to see you there and if not hope your summer festivals are truly amazing

Most of the stages finish between 1-2am on the first two nights and 1am on the final night. However the Boiler Room continues on until 4am all three days but the headline DJ finishes at 2am Thurs and Fri and 1am on Sat. Local DJs always play the final 2/3 hours and the ones I've heard have all been good.

Hey quick question

Will PP 2010 sell out? I've heard it has never sold out before, but i realize that this is a big year, and i'm also concerned because Lowlands seems to have sold out really quickly

It's just i have to wait till i get paid at the end of the month before i can afford it - will the tickets last till then do you think?

Just seen a message from the festival on Facebook to say that tickets go on sale 6am Belgian time tomorrow and a load of new names will also be announced then :P:P:P:lol::lol:

Edit: Looks like someone has leaked the names early as the following list is all over the local forums:

The xx

Bloody Beetroots (DJ set)

Groove Armada

Band of Horses

Laidback Luke

The National

f**k Buttons

Girls Against Me!

Jamaica

Eels

Serj Tankian

Kele

Laurent Garnier

Seasick Steve

Gogol Bordello

Foals

All Time Low

And So I Watch You from Afar

Everything Everything

Chase & Status (live)

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club

Steve Aoki

Kelis

Blood Red Shoes

Yeasayer

The Cribs

Kitty

Daisy and Lewis

Nosaj Thing

The Tallest Man on Earth

Local Natives

The Soft Pack

Caribou

You Me At Six

The Drums

Pulled Apart by Horses

Fat Freddy's Drop

The Toy Dolls

3OH!3

No sign of the final headliner amongst this lot but I suppose we'll have to wait until the morning to see if this is the list or not. I'd personally be very happy with the xx, Groove Armada, Laidback Luke, Chase and Status, Laurent Garnier, Seasick Steve, Gogal Bordello and Yeasayer

Got my tickets.

The line up's starting to look good with the new additions - pleased with Seasick Steve, F**k Buttons, Gogol Bordello and several others.

But is this starting to turn into "Pukkelop 2008 Unplugged"? First we had the news Jonsi from Sigur Ros is playing solo, and now there's Kele from Bloc Party...

ahhh awesome, ill do limp and prob as i love queens and 2manydjs the same ill do half each! where you from mate?

The timetable only appears on the site a few weeks, maybe a month, beforehand if I remember right.

There are always inevitably be a few clashes - that's the price you have to pay for having a decent line-up I guess! And although I missed Hot Chip in favour of Editors 2 years ago, I get to make up fot it this year...

These new additions are now confirmed on the Pukkelpop site it seems. Good! There's definitely enough there to justify a tour abroad, think I should be able to get the mates mobilised.

The National, Yesayer, f**k Buttons are draws for me at the moment.

Which one did you get in the end? I meant to pass on some train info I'd got regarding travelling to Genk but you obviously don't need it now :P

Got my ticket this morning so it's just flights to sort out now, which I'll probably do at the weekend :P The day splits are looking good so far, Friday currently has the most bands and DJs I want to see but there's loads on the other days I'm hoping to catch too. I've had a quick listen to most of the new additions and Nosaj Thing and Jamaica have both stood out so far. I'm also really hoping that Laurent Garnier will be DJing rather than playing live as he would be a superb end to the first night in the Boiler Room.

Booking later today but I have one question on the eTicket situation. Is the eTicket valid for train travel once in Belgium, I am sure I heard I would have to present it in order to get a travel voucher of some sort (though may have imagined it).

Cheers, roll on August!

    • Skylink is 24 hours... But the skylink will drop you off at Pegasus business Park or EMA (East Midlands Airport) where you'll have to use the Download shuttle link, which isn't 24 hours. The last shuttle from the Download transport hub to EMA is 12:15 TrentBarton / Local bus info here: https://www.trentbarton.co.uk/download2026   Skylink Derby / Leicester / Loughborough timetable here: https://www.trentbarton.co.uk/services/skylinkderby  Shuttle timetable here: https://www.trentbarton.co.uk/userfiles/hotel.pdf If you miss the shuttle, which is very doubtful, you'll just have to find another way to EMA / Pegasus business park, maybe a taxi. You could even walk to EMA from the Download transport hub, wouldn't take too long. Just make sure you use the airport's 'circular path' instead of the dangerous roads.  I walk the circular path often, it's nice and easy. I would post instructions but I very much doubt you'll miss the shuttle, and if you do, it isn't hard to work out. The footpath is clearly signposted from directly opposite / across the road from where the download map has labelled "Pickup and Drop Off Exit."
    • So for Harry Styles it was actually a plastic bag that basically blocks the view of the front and back cameras. You can still use the phone screen. It's much easier than using lockers, especially for people leaving for the last train etc    I think it's basically reliant on the threat of security kicking you out if you start filming.
    • Hey, does anybody have a joining link for the WhatsApp group plz? I know the secret sets get posted there but have a new phone and number
    • Do you think they'll release today's cupra pulse lineup?
    • I had a great time yesterday and came to the conclusion that everytime (or, more accurately, both times) I didn't have a great time at Primavera, it was water-related. Either there was too much of it (Thursday 2026) or there wasn't enough (Thursday 2022, week 1).
