I'd be happy to see a fair few of those on the line up this summer, particularly Hot Chip, Groove Armada, Aeroplane, Lindstrom & Christabelle, Leftfield, Orbital, Martyn, Goose, Netsky and Major Lazer :P

This does look like the kinds of acts that could realistically play, do you know something we don't Juan maclean :P:P

Christ it's like getting blood out of a stone with the confirmations this year :P There's usually a good few bands and DJ's that have self confirmed by now but the organisers must have put a strict embargo or something on them this year.

However, Belgian electro and beer lovers Lektrobeerz have confirmed for Friday 20th August, most probably playing in the Boiler. Their profile on myspace is quite funny:

In 2009, two drunk college students from Antwerp decided to mix their love for bangin’ electro music and delicious beers to create Lektrobeerz. The concept was simple: obtaining as much free beer as possible, in return for the latest bangers from e.g. Boys Noize, Bloody Beetroots, Crookers, Mustard Pimp, Sound of Stereo, Gtronic,… No beers, no bangers! After some successful dj sets at a local youth centre, Lektrobeerz quickly grew to be more than just dj’ing for fun. More and more parties followed, and so did the fans. At this point they decided to share some own music with the world. Two tracks: Blow and Frost! (which was downloaded over a 160 times on Soundcloud alone) and two mixtapes (Belgian Beerz mixtape was featured on Wizards Are Better blog)emerged. Currently, Lektrobeerz takes their set to a new level by investing in new dj gear, to bring out their mixing (and drinking!) skills even more. They’re still in search of some cool parties to play, so contact [email protected] for more details! Remember: we’re not in it for the money, but for delicious free beerz!

US Folk band Megafaun have confirmed they'll be playing but I don't know which day. The list now looks like this:

Blood Red Shoes

Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip

De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig

Lektrobeerz

Megafaun

Renaissance Man

The Toy Dolls

It'll probably be at least a month before we hear anything official but a lot of the local sites and forums are speculating who might play based upon other festivals on around the same time. The most interesting news this week on that front is that the Frequency Festival in Austria announced it's first batch of names. It's the exact same dates as Pukkelpop and they shared a good number of bands and DJs last year. This year they've got:

Day Park

BAD RELIGION

BILLY TALENT

DAISY DARES YOU

DIE TOTEN HOSEN

FETTES BROT

GET WELL SOON

JAN DELAY

LA ROUX

MUMFORD & SONS

MUSE

NOFX

PORTUGAL THE MAN

SHOUT OUT LOUDS

SKUNK ANANSIE

THE ASTEROID GALAXY TOUR

THE GASLIGHT ANTHEM

THE SPECIALS

WIR SIND HELDEN

WHITE LIES

ZOOT WOMAN

Night Park

CRAZY SONIC

DIPLO

JOHN DIGWEED

JOYCE MUNIZ

MAJOR LAZER

PAUL KALKBRENNER

POLA RIOT

SCHLACHTHOFBRONX

TIEFSCHWARZ

TURNTABLEROCKER

WRED

I'd definitiely take Portugal The Man, The Specials, White Lies, Zoot Woman, Diplo, John Digweed, Tiefschwarz and Major Lazer from that lot at Pukkelpop but I can't see Muse playing as they are already confirmed for Rock Werchter.

Ou est le swimming pool have self confirmed on myspace for Friday 20th August. Pulled apart by horses are also rumoured, think they may have said they're playing in an interview or something but I can't translate the Dutch forums properly.

With regards to ticket prices, they'll probably be about 145 euros with booking fee this year.

Here's the quote, it's from someone on the Stinky Little Gods forum:

+ Pulled Apart By Horses

Een last.fm-kennis heeft met de gitarist gesproken de avond dat ze openden voor Blood Red Shoes en hij vertelde dat ze terugkomen naar België deze zomer, meer bepaald naar Kiewit dus.
