Lady GaGa

heard on the radio this afternoon, lady gaga being interviewed, and her slipping in that 2010 highlight would be a glasto appearance, cant remember the station, but it was manchester-M6-ish, and a local channel.

She commented she didn't know as yet what stage. Hopefully someone more beleivable will confirm this.

Not my cup of tea, all the vocals prerecorded, but the theatrical, multiple costume changes and stage set-ups, Flaming Hooters and all, has to appeal for a 1st view.

Would be great if she played :P Especially since I'm annoyed that I couldn't afford concert tickets to see her because my poor student budget wouldn't stretch far enough! :P

I would take it with a pinch of salt though, my local radio station was interviewing Alexandra Burke the other week and she said "Watch this space" when discussing her appearing at Glasto

That's the problem.

People would go see her because they like controversy and GaGa is a controversial character. The pyramid or other stage would be rammed with people who would usually have no interest in her music.

She doesn't deserve that crowd. Decent bands do.

last year was kinda funny. it was the first 'pop' performance i think ive ever seen - eg outfit changes and dancers. A good novelty act with a bit of talent and the best marketing / press campaign team on the planet. The world needs a new Madonna and UMG are making a mint from her :P all good.

weird, we were talking about Glasto in the pub last night. One of those "why did I miss artist x, oh I remember, I was watching artist y, so don't regret missing artist x". We agreed that the only time in the last 3 years where this train of thought ended in "oh damn, I really was in the wrong place" was deciding to watch Lady Gaga instead of The Specials! Crock of S&£t!!

    • You do get some weird swings here and there, so... Cypress Hill?
    • It was great, but I don't know why they continue to play Wide Lovely Eyes and Rings of Saturn, which are the weakest of the tracks off both PTSA and ST. Well, I do. It's cos they're about Suzie, so he can sing what he wants. They're the low points of the set. The rest is ace.
    • I didn't this time, but I've seen them before and just because you saw both that night doesn’t mean you can compare them. The Stones were great, but.you didn't think so and you went somewhere else looking for a good time and you found it. For whatever reason you didn't like it, but you were an outlier and all the reviews said they were great.
    • Annie Lennox could be the one to unite the whole forum, nobody has a bad word to say about her, even noted curmudgeon Skip 😄 I'd probably even amble along for a bit meself, and i'm also a miserable sod
    • If the below link works - thats interesting.   While I don't particularly put much stock in that account as a source (never seen it before though, tbf), and I can pick a hole or two (see below) in what he says - the timing of it is a week before I had the Fontaines '27 stadium info (same stadium he says on there, Tottenham). The info, or part of it, matches up.   Holes I'd pick: I'd have to watch again but I THINK he says 'end of year' for Tottenham - not possible, for a number of reasons, though he's probably just got his words mixed up there. It's Summer '27, or that's what I've been told. He also says Glastonbury is/would be based on how the album does. That doesn't stack up to me, unless it was a 2028 thing. I suppose that could stack up, i.e a verbal agreement for 2028, but still seems a bit of an odd approach. I would personally still expect it to be 2027 alongside the stadium gigs, IF they are gonna do it, though I've still not got a Scooby when the album is gonna drop, only that the tour is due for Spring (or early) next year.   Interesting, nonetheless.   https://www.instagram.com/reel/DaOB3Q9qkwW/
