I love alot of their older stuff, I wasn't impressed at all with the last album and are yet to hear their newest but would love to seem them at Glasto, although am I right in saying that Anton is the only remaining original member nowadays?

DIG! is an excellent film even if you're not a fan of either band. I watched it as I'm a huge Dandy Warhols fan but I have to admit Courtney Taylor comes across as a bit of an ass at times in it.

Dig was pitched to me as the best rock movie ever made! Not sure it's that but brilliant none the less.

As for live caught them live 4 times and they've always delivered

Joel the Jimi Hendrix of tambourine Players!

I don't know, that set was weird. I hadn't been to the Pyramid much that year, but the size of crowd was embarrassing. Got there before it started and the field seemed empty, walked straight to the front of the crowd, it was max 10 people deep.

I was expecting (er, hoping for...) a car-crash set, and it didn't really happen. There was some banter with the audience, but it just seemed like they weren't taking themselves seriously.

The gig was also somewhat spoilt for me by the attention seeking shouting nudists shaking there stuff far too close for comfort. I didn't move on principle, I think that's what I told myself.

Edit: My fave tune of theirs is Ballad of Jimmy Jones I think. I downloaded them from the website years ago, and have no idea which song is from which album.

Doesn't sound like they are playing but I finally got round to watching Dig! tonight. f**k me, I knew Anton was a cabbage short of an allotment, but he's a complete nutcase. Great documentary though, very revealing and interesting.

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
    • Easily my favourite set of the day.
