Arcade Fire as headliners?

would be ace if they were, and the statement certainly applies to them as well as the lips! Billy Gibbons could teach that ballbag bellamy how to play a guitar without relying on ludicrous effects too

seriously? You think there is any possibility? When would they be on? Sunday afternoon on the Pyramid? They are miles better than that slot.

I'd be violently sick if Flaming Lips were to be considered a support act for Muse.

Although it would be quite hilarious to see "The Greatest Live Band In The World Ever!" get absolutely blown away by a band who have made consistently fantastic and varied music for over 20 years.

Apparently they've been confirmed for Rockwerchter. I can't access the site at work, so does someone wanna check it out and post the announcement on here?

I've said it before but it is amazing that reading have got arcade fire and glastonbury muse. It just makes no sense. I am sure the majority of both audiences would be happier for some sort of swap to take place.

Really frustrating and I have to reluctantly say fair play to Reading for taking the risk that it seems glastonbury were not prepared to do!

(of course we dont know that glasto didnt try for them but it doesnt sound like they did)

Arcade Fire would be the risky headliner that glastonbury is famous for.

Muse? Bloody Muse???

gah! So frustrating

Sadly I can't share your laid back attitude towards Muse fans.

I will take out my impotent fury on every and all Muse fans that post on this forum

I think you should as and when a fantastic alternative to the Bellamy jizz-a-thon is confirmed on another stage.

Come on man - you're above bitching about acts on the main stage. We might have Kloot/Walkmen/Doves or something on another stage.

In the words of Meatloaf (now there's a thought.....) '2 out of 3 ain't bad'.

Some of my fellow campers are huge Muse fans so I'm pleased they'll enjoy themselves. Doesn't mean I have to stay with them.

And f**k it - if all else fails - RED FLAG.

I know, I know. Everything you say is right.

But so far everything about the festival seems to be going perfectly it seems Muse is actually the only thing there is to moan about!

    • The Last Temptation - new Heaven 17 documentary film directed by James Strong. Premiered at Sheffield Docfest this weekend.    I really enjoyed it. Affectionate, insightful, and honest. A nice mix of archival and footage, interviews and clips from the last tour. Martyn and Glenn are like an old married couple.   Plus a snippet of news from the Q&A, Martyn is recording new BEF material, and Phil Oakey has collaborated on the one of tracks. The film shows them meeting in Fagans for the first time in over 35 years.
    • Glad I’ve still got it booked off for my 50th
    • That would be perfect!
    • If the festival was on this forecast for the end of the month would really raise the excitement levels 😊😉
    • I think their best chance is to get at Brazil. I though Casemiro in particular but the entire Brazil midfield was awful for the first half of that game, and if McTominay and McGinn press and run past them they've got every chance of getting the lead. You kinda assume Vini Jr and Raphinha will do something at some point in any game, but Brazil look like they're waiting for their stars to make something happen, instead of having a team plan.   I stand by my claim before the tourney that Morocco put 3 past Scotland, which suggests to me they need to nick a draw against Brazil.
