Dance Village rumours?

Well there is obviously a fair amount of rumours still flying about with regards to the rest of the line up spesh headliners on pyramid stage.

Was just wondering if there has been any rumours about acts for the dance village? if none what are people hoping for?

Personally I think Swedish House Mafia may be on to a headline slot after selling out brixton academy twice over as for the rest it's more down to personal preference.

regards,

Really dissapointed with the Dance Village this year, 2 many DJ's played a poor mainstream set and it seemed that even the better DJ's were playing to a radio 1 crowd which is on the verge of "pop" dance. It's going to take something pretty special to tempt me over there next year, I'm assuming if Daft Punk are playing that they'll probably be on 1 of the stages.

OK - going back on what I just said - Altern 8 was a good start to the music for me this year!.

That he did. He played for about 6 hours. I missed it :P but I was trashed and raving it up in Shangri-La anyway.

the chems will headline the east tent (the larger of the 2) fo' sho'. daft punk are too large a new to Glastonbury act to play in the dance village .. but we can all live in hope though I guess. timo mass, dj yoda, hybrid, nick warren (as mentioned b4), carl cox - will all def play in the dance area. I will place my hat on it.

Chemicals. if a DJ set, East. If live, other. There cant be no debate on that, its just how it is. They couldnt play live in a tent at a festival with 177,000+ people on site, it would be dangerous.

My wishlist:

Erol (again but louder this time please...same goes for entire west tent)

Boys Noize

Vitalic Live

Soulwax Live

Aeroplane

Brodinski

Lindstrom

Prins Thomas

Friendly Fires DJ set (Jack is awesome)

Hawtin and Vath would charge too much, and therefore wont play, as they wouldnt accept a lower fee just to play glasto, they are foreign and as such wouldnt really care as much about the exposure or the "glory" of playing glasto.

    • It’s rare that I watch question time, but I almost felt sorry for Kenyon, he seemed like a guy just brought off the street which effectively is what he was, made worse by the fact Burnham and the Tory guy were very strong debaters. I think Burnham was very aware not to go too hard on Kenyon and risk him getting sympathy, in fact he pretty much ignored him.
    • Shambles. Transport and comms garbage. Been looking forward to this since last June and have never been to a more disorganised festival in 30+ years.  Why we were told the whole festival was cancelled for the night if they had put back shows for a few hours?  Pissed off to say the very least and put a huge downer on the rest of the weekend.
    • Rotten communication. Actually god awful. Posting sporadically on IG, closing Mordor only to reopen and cause some serious carnage. Left the festival as it got too much for my 16year old daughter. She was devastated about Alex G and Mac…but TV girl could have saved it. Took us until 1220 and already home to find out they might/are playing. Pish.    and on another note, this festival has lost its bastard soul. Gone are the wee tents with local sellers selling vinyl, t shirts etc, now you can buy a 50 f**king eur official T-shirt. The ar*e is truely out of this event now. I went to Porto for the first time last year and it was fab. I love Barcelona and the line up is always stacked, but this festival is a corporate loss take. Hopefully a better day tomorrow.
    • f**king horrendous and seems they couldn’t run an egg and spoon race.  zero info and the crush waiting to get in to see Massive Attack was potentially disasterous. Zero info, no stewards at all and was told that the whole evening was cancelled, when we got to the exit. Because it rained. First time attendee and i’ve got onsay, i’m far from impressed. Scalping bastard taxis asking €37 plus for an €11 fare too. Wonderdul.
    • Rumours are it's called The Lost Tour. In the US in September. Ireland in November (so UK+Europe a good bet around November/early December).
