So not an official confirmation then, more of a very very strong rumour still. Not wanting to be a pedant you understand and I'm sure the source is good otherwise it wouldn't have been posted up.

I think they'd be a great act to close the festival on the Sunday. Haven't seen them since 2001 so would definitley watch.

Not my cup of tea. If Muse do play thye Pyramid on Sunday, hopefully the Chemical Brothers will be playing the dance slot on the Other Stage.

That'll be my choice for the finale to Glasto 2010

I'm not a great fan of Muse but their set in 2004 was excellent - better than bedwetting Coldplay could ever be. Not a great fan of U2 either, but I'd take these 2 way above Neil Young and Brooce - they'll both do a much better show, which is surely what Pyramid stage headlining is all about?

Brilliant start and that's just one stage on two nights - so much more to look forward to - like Vampire Weekend? Julian Casablancas/Strokes? Elbow? BRING IT ON!!

I just couldn't imagine a festival with U2, Muse and Radiohead as headliners. It would be like all your birthdays thrown into one.

Maybe I'm getting ahead of myself here, but I read that as you are 99.9% certain they are playing... not as sure that they are headlining.... And now that I've read the news post back it doesn't actually say they are headlining anywhere in there either, just, they are believed to be playing......Now that would be something else if they were only 2nd from top!

Well I won't watch them as they're really not my thing, but they're an excellent choice to play. Personally, I find them a bit too whiney, though I can't deny their talent. I thought they were good in 2004, but wouldn't see them again. I'll be elsewhere. Seasick Steve in the Acoustic Tent, please!

A lot of my mates will be ecstatic about this news, and that can only be a good thing, surely?

If they're headlining, I have to comment the powers that be - U2 and Muse are both pretty bloody impressive names.

Where they might fit on the bill is dependent on the other acts on the bill.

For example, if Glasto has the Stones and Led Zep along with U2, then few would probably argue that Muse should play above the Stones or Led Zep.
