HOLY f**k!

i was going to pick up glasto tickets in the re-sale, but at this rate they are going to be impossible to pick up :P

muse are the greatest live band i have ever seen (v2008) ive only seen them the once though. they didnt play muscle museum at v, but i hope (if i get tickets) they would bust it out.

i wonder if the fabled ufo over the crowd thing will happen? its been built and was planned at v, but v didnt let it go ahead:

http://www.nme.com/news/muse/39005 (i dont read nme, but i thought i would post a source.

glasto + muse + ufo = win.

I first went to see Muse in 2003 promoting one of their better albums. Don't get me wrong I like their newer stuff (especially Guiding Light and Undislosed Desires) but I dont like the political lyrics, such as on first single from the new album. I much prefer when they sing about love and life. I will defo go to see them if they play Glasto 2010

Anyone who thinks Muse will be anything other than pyramid stage headliners is dreaming, Muse supported U2 in the US because they aren't that well known out there, over here anything less than a headline slot they would see as a step down in my opinion. Im not saying they are as big as U2 or Stones just that the band themselves wouldn't accept anything less than a headline, especially seeing they headlined in 2004 and they popularity has gone up (even if the quality of their records has gone down)

Everything old is new again....

ELO did the whole "Spaceship thing" in 1978....They called the tour "The BIG Night" here in the States.

They had a flying model of the Out of the Blue LP cover ship that hung under a helicopter and buzzed the stadium. Then came an amazingly cheesy ode to Star Wars led by TONY CURTIS!?! and a bunch of stuntmen dressed as Stormtroopers.

At that point the stage set was revealed from behind a curtain to be a large "spaceship that split open and the band were elevated up inside it playing. Yes, it was as weird, cheesy and bizarre as it sounds.

When I saw the tour in Anaheim the opening bands were Journey, Kingfish and Trickster....an odd show to be sure.

While I think that Muse will probably headline, whether or not they do is nothing to do with what you say.

Do Muse deserve to headline above U2? Nope.

Do Muse deserve to headline above the Rolling Stones? Nope.

Do Muse deserve to headline above a few other mega-acts? Nope.

They are only worthy headliners within the context of other acts on the bill. If there's bigger acts on the bill they are not worthy headliners.

If the band believe they have a right to headline and only headline, they're a bunch of worthless egotistical cocks.

I can't be arsed to trawl through all this but i really don't understand why anyone would say Bellamy isn't that good at guitar. He's phenomenal and I'm not even that big a Muse fan!

That said I'd like to see them again as I havent done so since 2004 at V and to be honest I was so smashed I'd forgotten I saw them until two weeks ago! Didn't get a ticket for Old Traff or Wembley cos I thought they'd be at Glasto so hope this is true.
