..well, Live they generally have 4 (can't remember the name of the guy who's on this tour, but he playes keyboards while Matt plays guitar)...plus they use a lot of backing tracks...I've always been impressed by the amount of noise they can make. With a touring guitarist though they could do away with the pre-recorded stuff and then we might get some sponteneity to their shows again...

It's probably unrealistic and greedy to seriously expect the Stones or Led Zeppelin. I mean, whether you like them or not, scoring someone as massive as U2 for Glasto is a major accomplishment.

Haven't they said that the Saturday headliner is bigger already I thought?

I'm sure it was Neil who mentioned that, or at least mentioned that ME had said something along those lines.

I'm not aware of Eavis saying Saturday is a bigger act.

There's been presumptions from lots of people (including me) that it might be, as Saturday normally has a bigger act than Friday.

But having sat back and thought about it some more, I'm pretty sure that if there's a bigger act for the Saturday than U2, it can't be band and must be a solo artist - after all, Eavis announced U2 as (something like) "the biggest band in the world", which very much implies that there's no bigger band for Saturday.

It's possible I guess that I'm reading too much into that, but I think Eavis has been at it long enough to not risk pissing off a band of similar or bigger status by using a line like that without considering that it might cause some issues.

ahahahaha you're that tit who is thinking about not going to glastonbury because you want to see muse in paris arent you.

Those songs you state try hard but fail. Listen to some better music and you will understand. Led Zep or The Who will educate you.

Dude, it's not me, someone I know. And they are still going to Muse in Paris instead because she thinks that the whole of Glastonbury will be filled up with pricks such as yourself.

And for the record I've seen the who before, met Roger Daltrey and I saw Jimmy page and John paul jones at wembley with the Foo's.

Whilst I love MUSE, and I dnt wish for this to be untrue so as to upset you all! lol. I have just purchased 4 tickets to see MUSE at Lanc cricket ground, 3 of us are going to glasto!!! Id be happy to watch someone else, but it'd seem like wasted money.....

    • Can't speak for Dua Lipa's, but Coldplay's was vastly scaled down compared to their stadium production staging though, and tracks were adapted to reflect that. MOTS tour had a full walkway 30m out to the B-Stage in the middle of the crowd, and two C-Stages. Glastonbury didn't accommodate that at all and just had a very small walkway in front of the Pyramid stage, and (IIRC) a disconnected B-Stage.   Which re-enforces my point. Acts can adapt their stage shows if they really want. Most do, some don't want to. Glastonbury might miss out on the odd act that doesn't want to slightly adapt, but so will most festivals.
    • Oh wow, was sure they’d be playing this or trees.
    • A name I didn’t think of. Maybe too big though. Think he’d go down very well despite being quite controversial.
    • Oh bummer, got excited then 😂   Although if I had read all the way down it would have been a bit of a give away, no other festival will book both of those 😂
