Okay, so I've been speaking to my people all day and I've been given permission to reveal the bigger band than U2 who may or may not be headlining on either the saturday or sunday.

The Goombay Dance Band :P

You heard it here first! now go tell your friends.

Paul Rogers is the lad, and he left them earlier this year. Queen are now without a singer and a peddling out the last with the new rockband game they have. Shame really, am a big fan! This is that without Freddie.....

I will point out that this list was compiled in 2004

Hence Coldplay and Muse are missing - no doubt there are others that would be climbing - King of Leon?

as for my opinion on the bigger than U2 debate

Stones or Led Zeppelin for Saturday

Muse/Radiohead/Coldplay for Sunday and despite my allegiance to Coldplay I am hoping for Muse! (seen the other two this year)

I know Led Zep are largely defunct but we know that Robert Plant has been approached though he has the Alisson Kraus branck which i would avoif like the plague; but it would be a sweet moment to have the inspiration for the festival at its 40th anniversary - particularly as there is no way they will be able to do the 50th!

Hey Neil, did you ever get someone in See to give you a ticket breakdown? I would still be curious to know that answer...........

Looking at the recent poll on the OS regarding flags it suggests that many more may in fact be traveling to Glasto then you think...........It may be Brits voting on hols............but its not all that............1% international goers at the fest is looking too low to me............

    • RIP Roy Hattersley
    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
