I'm keen to go on a SERIOUS bender on the Thursday next year. A right aul hike all around the site to the best dozen boozers. Anyone else keen/man enough?

Anyone been on one before at Glasters? Whats the best route to include the best boozers? Could we have a themed effort?

Gotta be a few regulars here keen to see as many boozers as possible before distractions on the Fri?

A Pub crawl on the Thursday would be great fun but getting totally p1ssed up means writing off seeing any acts that night.

I was one of many eFesters that got to The Real Tent 'Red Flag' (I think) near The Acoustic Stage.

A few pints of strong ale & I had to lay down for a sleep.

If it was it did me the world of good as was able to go on it again for the cider bus meet that night and still going strong for Altern 8's set 2am to 3am

So bound to be a few hardcore drinkers on these boards that'd be up for it.

I'd be up for this but could not endure the full session.

This is a good idea, count me in and the 9 PAs that will be with me.

In fact I started to organise something similar a couple of years ago, although I was thinking about the Wednesday, this however complicates things as not so many bars are open on the Wednesday. If Brain from WBC still posts here, he can confirm what will be open on what day nearer the time.

As a poster above said, Thursday has the issue of some bands playing, getting in the way of the drinking, whilst Wednesday does not have this it does have the which bars are open issue.

It's my 6th Glasto in a row this year and theres really only the same few boozers I visit to be honest. I'm looking for a hardened roughneck crew to take the fest by the scruff of the neck and really have it hardcore. I won't be on the 9% real-ale that some of the more refined amongst you swear by. Just go a jaunt around the fest.

The idea bout the wobble boards and didgereedoos is a roffle.

I remember someone on here suggesting this in 2007 or 2008... not sure if they did it but it's a great idea - our group has done a random Thursday bar crawl around the site for the last couple of years - it's a good way to see as much as you can and a lot of fun. Would be up for a more organised bigger group one, although if I tried to have a pint at even all of the major bars I might be getting up a bit late for the start of the main music on the Friday!

Is a "Dirty Dozen" even reasonable? I did a 9/10-pub pubcrawl on my stag in July and was totally tonto by 4am. I personally think a themed pubcrawl (fancy dress?) around the fields of Glasto would be a larf. If people are keen we might start making a battle plan?

Baggy Mondays at the stonebridge bar is a thursday night must! One of the highlights of last year for me!
