Liking Dead Weathers. Interesting also that Yoko Ono couldn't even clap in time to the opening medley. God she's a useless, talentless waste of space.

Miike Snow - great range of hairstyles and facial hair. Thought they weren't great live TBH.

Smokey Robinson's hair dye/botched face lift combo - hilarious. Nice to see a humble Eric Clapton showing his true genius though.

Basement Jaxx? Material lacking on their past glory IMO, but still vibrant.

I was thinking the other day, I would love to see Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck bring the current live show they are doing to Glastonbury. Would not have to be a headline slot, just in a position as the sun goes down. :)

I really liked Dead Weather. I watched on Tuesday and it took a while to click that Jack White was the drummer. Hope they play.

Liked Mike Snow, posey headbanging from the synthy sound mixers (or whatever that role in a band is called) was funny though. Hope they play.

Just loved Ngoni Ba. Just looked on iPlayer. Apparently that goat skin covered ukelele type thing being played is called an ngoni and the players name is Bassekou Kouyate. He must be the Hendrix of ngoni playing. Hope they play.

Thought Smokey Robinson has still got it. Put Andy Williams to shame. Also didn't realise it was Clapton until it was mentioned. I should have noticed from the tone. Must stop watching without my glasses. Hope they play. Good excuse to shout for Jeff Beck again as well.

Agree that Smokey's voice was spot on, but that facelift makes him look like someone just shoved a cactus up his arse.

Why can't people just get old? Never really understood it.

just watched this, thought Miike Snow was by far and away the best thing on it.

I bow down to no-one in my love of smokey robinson's better output, but inevitably over the years, it's not all gold, and he's a bit of a parody of himself these days I think. I'd not go and see him, rather listen to those classic singles from the 60s.

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
