Just trawling round the local concerts (students back in Sheff = loads of live music) and saw Calvin Harris is playing soon. Not something I'd ordinarily go to but find some of his stuff pretty good and in the spirit of my new ethos of trying new things I thought I may go. Anyone seen him live and was it worth it?

I enjoyed his set at Glasto 07 in the JP tent. I was quite messy at the time though in fairness

Saw him at Unleashed earlier this year. He's a fairly shit singer but the atmosphere was pretty cool, some of his bigger hits went down great and overall I enjoyed it.

He's never gonna be Led Zeppelin but it was enjoyable for sure.

Saw him last Thursday in Norwich.

He was okay-ish. The (young) crowd were loving him though.

Saw him at glasto this year, he can't sing for toffee but you can't knock his enthusiasm and the crowd were great.

I quite enjoyed it myself actually.

Not great live but I did have a lot of fun at his t in the park set, got boring in the middle when I didn't know the songs but with the song everyone knows everyone was singing and dancing. Loads of fun!

Also saw him at Bingley and although I don't own any of his albums or particularly like his music I agree with earlier comments and thought he put on quite a good show!

That being said I had quite a few beers beforehand and it probably helped!

I saw him a V for about half his set and he was ok for the songs I knew, seemed to get the crowd going, but I wouldnt pay money to see him on his own!!

Yep, saw him in Bournemouth last week. Not a great singer agreed, but band were great (especially the drummer), and he went down a storm with the young crowd (felt a bit old myself).

Good dancey stuff if you're that way inclined.....I'm guessing he may be a bit lost on one of the big Glasto stages though??

Didn't he headline one of the dance tents on Sunday this year? Can't imagine too many people went to see him when he clashed with Blur, The Prodigy and Black Eyed Peas (amongst others)

Yeah, garage flower1, I rated the drummer. I also thought he looked like Jack Black. I also wondered what the guitar player was actually doing/for, as it all sounded synths and drums to me. Enjoyed it though.

I saw him at Ibiza rocks just to see what the place is like and because everyone else was going. I expected more to be honest and I'm not a fan, the sound was awful to be fair and he just didn't seem worth paying attention to. If everybody didn't jump in the pool at the end it would have been shit.

I like serious music like Radiohead, Pink Floyd, Wilco etc, which sort of says that i would never watch Calvin Harris. However live it is like an old school rave!! Don't take it to seriously and a lot of fun to be had!!
