Pulp 2010?

it wasn't nine months prior, it was in March. But yes, he was.

I really don't think there's any reason to doubt the Planet Sound story tho. People like Jarvis don't tend to say that something is a newspaper fabrication unless it really is, because they have years of experience in knowing how to play the media, and calling the papers liars is a dangerous thing to do if the lie is not theirs but yours.

My own limited experience of Jarvis is that he's extremely straightforwards with what he says, and I can't see why this would be different.

I'll ask my mate again when I see her, I've been doing a fair bit of nagging for info though, I don't want to overdo it! I don't doubt Planet Sound, I'm wondering if they were considering it but it never got any further than that.

great video thanks cabstar.

I agree with Neil, it does not seem to be in his thoughts but there was absolutely nothing to hint that he thinks it is a bad thing. In fact - the overall impression I get is that if he is asked then he will do it although seems he will be busy doing other things in 2010.

Heres hoping it turns into something anyway - we still got 3/4 of a year for something to transpire!

Well I can't say I'm hugely surprised by the news they aren't playing. It's a shame as I think It could've been legendary.

Oh well hopefully Mr Cocker will be there next year in some shape or form. :(

Hawley's denied it too...

as i said mmmmmmmmmmmm i knew it was bullshit as i spoke to Jarv about this very subject as there have been so many rumours going round,i also spoke to Candida in Dublin after the gig.......now i am NOT saying Pulp will never get back together BUT THAT DOESN'T MEAN THEY WILL EITHER.

But one thing i do know that the next two years at least are well busy for many of the band members so take from that what you will,f**k wits beware no one is saying the band are getting back together from this statement so go and find your nasty cheap little stories somewhere else drives me insane

I really do not like this thread on the top of the board. Every time a little bit of me dies when I see it after gettin excited about it in the first place and I haven't even put an album of theres on since the rumours were quashed. Still gutted and these more quotes by Jarvis just make it worse.

    • I’d be incredibly surprised if she was in the headline conversation at all. At best I could say a high Pyramid slot but I reckon maybe Other headliner against a rock act like Fender or even Other sub (where I have her in my predictions). I’d say Gracie Abrams is pulling similar if not better numbers to Tate and she was third down on the Other last year.
    • I dont think headliner. Other stage maybe
    • Sophie Williams (journalist and Mercury Prize judge) was on Huw Stephens' roundtable last week, said she'd love to see Overmono headline Green Man. Does feel like it's bound to happen. 2027 is surely on the cards seeing as they're about to release a new album
    • Cat Power Wilco Whatever combination of Avalon Emerson and Aldous I manage to see Ken Pomeroy Sparks with an honourable mention to Neve Cariad
    • Saw em live back in march, and they were bloody marvellous - all flames, ghouls and skulls on sticks. And so tight musically! (i'm a Pleasure To Kill man in terms of albums, mind)
