Depeche Mode / Scissor Sisters

Dave Gahan said that Depeche Mode would like to play the festival sometime but couldn't fit it round their tour dates for this years, whats the chances they could make it to Glastonbury in 2010.

Scissor Sisters would more of a likely punt though with their album being released in March.

DM are my favourite band in the whole wide world... ever... with bells on.

To see them grace the pyramid stage would be an orgasmic dream come true for me... words just can't explain!

However, after their hissy fit last year... they were playing, but then didn't like the other headliners... so pulled out, I'd be surprised if they play. Please prove me wrong though!

SS have been quiet of late. I think it may have been 2005 that the last played Glasters, but have done sweet FA... so who knows!

DM meh, another older band would love to go with some new music tbh.

Scissor Sisters could be interesting, I've sort of wanted to see them but there low down on the priorities list so a festival appearance would be awesome and a boat load of fun!

Whoa whoa whoa, where did you hear that?

Could that be the answer to the hugely over asked question of who the '4th headliners' were last year?

scissor sisters done a blinding wee set in lost vagueness, think it was 05. could be wrong on year tho.

probably will be back if they have album out next year. if any band has knocked glasto back, ie depeche mode.. should tell them to take a run and a jump.

Would really love to see bono asking to play glasto, just to be told to f*** off by eavis :D

tho that prob wont ever happen.

Hissy fits or not, I would go to see DM if they played, even if it meant standing in a field alone, singing along.

Saw the Scissor Sisters when they played in 200x (its all a bit vague) and - from what I remember - they played twice, once in the day and once in the evening and I loved both times, though i was in rather different states of sobriety.

Bring them back in 2010!

For me, Dm no no no, poppy crappy new romantic slush, I remember them when they were first out and hoped that they had just gone away.

SS, not my style but would suit the festival I think.

DM new romantic?? I think not! I've been there since the beginning... never have left Dave Gahans side... if only he'd notice me (she says wistfully)!!!

Oh well, I was a punk at the time so did lump groups together a bit, they seem to have some dedicated fans though, well, two :D

That's completely wrong - they were never ever going to play, as they'd already announced dates elsewhere over Glasto weekend before Glasto was mentioned to them.

The stories in the papers about them going to play were nothing other than made up bollox, even tho they originated from someone connected with the band.

yeh, I remember reading that they were up for it, but only once they had secured tickets for all of the staff at mute records, which they had apparently done, then they had self confirmed, then for some reason it was not on any more! No explanation as to the why?

No, no, no - not true, not even the smallest part of that is true.

They were not ever going to be playing. The stories in the papers were total lies.
