Well, looking at that Metcheck Glasto forecast they can f**k RIGHT off. I don't use Metcheck anymore as it's f**ked me over so many times. Useless twunts.

One of my compadres tells me this morning that's he's invested considerable money in some good quality waterproof trousers and a jacket. Purely as a sacrificial offering to the Gods of Fate you understand. If we all prepare for a monsoon, they'll realise we respect them and leave us alone.

As an aside, it looks like the lovely weather we've had all week is going to change to thundery showers just in time for the RATM gig at Finsbury on Sunday. I'm more than prepared to get pissed wet through on Sunday as a further karmic offering. That way I'm sure that Glasto will remain dry and warm, (with a 90% chance of alcohol induced dehydration and sunstroke).

I am also preared for it to chuck it down right through my wedding day on the 19th june, if it can just see it's way to clearing up nicely for the 23rd - 27th.

Great forecasts above guys but just a little bit of humour from last years brief but powerful downpour

I called home and someone had been watching jonathon ross on the box (i know the shame) and he had a weatehr map up which showed almost unintrrupted sunshine except for a gurt black cloud over the glastonbury area.

What a larf hey, you couldnt make it up

I'm attending 3 weddings in the space of 5 weeks later in the year. Now I havent told any of them yet, but I'm more than happy for it to be cold, raining, blowing a gale on all three of those days, in exchange for 5 long, hot, dry, sunny days at Glastonbury.

(Already had my wedding day this year, and it was sunny - sorry about that!)

Actually - it's my dad's birthday on June 19th (it's normally around the same sort of time every year, conveniently).

Speaking on behalf of my father, I too will except torrential rain on this day as long as it clears for Glasto.

My mate's coming. She is a renowned rain god(ess) - Rhodes in August, Egypt in Oct, Peru's Nazca Lines, the list goes on. So, seeing as it frequently p*sses it down at Glasto (I've not yet experienced one without at least heavy downpours), I am VERY confident that her presence will have the opposite effect and we'll have a scorchio fest to remember.

BRING IT ON :D

PS If I am wrong, who cares, it'll still be awesome and I'll be p*ssed on the pear cider ;)

Er hum! I AM the missus! Luckily the Mr is also of the same mind!

It's my mother i've got to convince - she's actually joining us at Glastonbury on the Friday and I have tried to explain to her how difficult she'll find it if it's muddy (she's 68) but she still says we've got to have a sunny wedding! i have to keep working on her!

    • Hey everyone! My friend and I are heading over from Sweden to Tramlines this summer. We had our eyes on a bunch of different festivals in the UK, but since most of them sold out before we even knew if we’d be able to make the trip, we finally settled on Tramlines. Why Tramlines, you might ask? Well, because we’re absolutely crazy about British music, and finding a festival like this (where you also don’t have to camp, a huge plus) made it impossible not to buy a ticket. The fact that I’ll also get to see The Enemy after beeing a fan for 19 years didn’t hurt either.   Since the app doesn’t work over here… is the Clashfinder schedule 100% accurate? What’s the venue like, and what does the map look like? Which sides of the stages are best to stand on? How long does it take to walk between stages? What are the prices usually for food and drinks? Is it easy to get to the festival from town? And is it easy to get back into town? Is it allowed to walk around with a beer anywhere in the venue, or are there those stupid fenced-off bar areas? As you can tell, I need all kinds of info, so please share your best tips and tricks to make this the best festival experience possible.  I’d really appreciate it. Thanks in advance! 😃
    • A whole year of this!  What a time to be alive! This is going to be an incredible playlist.
    • Sorry matey.  Always a nightmare when you have a plan and something scuppers it.   Happy myself, fills a nice little gap for me. Lucky so far really.     I’d have preferred an alternative too to break up the 21 pilot set but shan’t complain
    • Happy with the name, unhappy with what it did to the lineup. Now I have to choose between Florence Road and Beirut 😞 and still no alternative to 21p.
    • Odd and rare for RW indeed! I even remember reading in the past that one of the reasons for certain bands not appearing there, were similar demands being rejected. It’s weird that they play after Gorillaz and even more weird that there won’t be an alternative. All they had to do was push Pixies to later.
