Bad Clashes

I have been taking a look at this timetable for when the bands will be roughly playing this year

http://bugs.rdmsoft.com/leeds/

I used this site last year to get an idea of what bands would clash with who and was about 90% accurate and gets updated..

From this the worst clash for me is White Lies and The Prodigy :D Realy wanna get 2 see them. I'll be watching Prodigy though as i will probably go watch White Lies when they play again in Manc.

If White Lies was swaped with Courteeners that would be alot better i thinnk, that would make me happy anyway ;)

What bands are realy bad clashes for evryone else? Obviously not headliners lol as i realy wanna watch Radiohead, Lost Prophets, Arctics and Rise Against but its not happening is it  lol. Headliners 4 me this year Rise Against, Radiohead, and KOL.

Just if you was wondering though i am very happy with the Line-up this year

Hmm, not many really bad ones, but several annoying clashes (assuming the times are the same at Reading and Leeds, which I know they are not, but the class situation is probably similar).

EODM/Spinnerette

Whitelies/Prodigy

Bloc Party/AFI

NFG/Aitborne Toxic Event/Riverboat Gamblers

Deftones/Aggrolites

last 2 are probably the worst for me cos of the size of the overlap, where as at leaston the others I could see some of both acts

I think deciding what to do around the Faith No More time could be tricky.

I wanna see Anti-Flag, but would then have a massive Leeds trek to the NME stage for FNM and would probably find it tough getting anywhere near the tent.

Or Miss AntiFlag and go see Jamie T who Im starting not to dislike.

Or just go to see Kings Of Leon as Im seeing Faith No More in Edinburgh the Week Before. Id Love to check out Marmaduke Duke and Billy Talent too.

I think the fact that I wont be spending alot of time in the main stage this year, and most of my time between the lockup and NME stage is gonna be annoying, Those 2 stages couldnt be further apart if they tried.

I Wanna start a Petition;

Directly swap Jamie T And Deftones

Jamie T Gets a Main stage slot which Im sure he would be happy with.

Deftones get a slot more deserving of their stature and a longer set.

Imagine seeing Deftones followed by Faith No More.

This makes sense on so many different levels.

having looked at this clash guide timetable thing the ones that bother me most are.........

ian brown/rival schools - i will see ian brown though as he is a legend. i haven't seen him before but i saw rival schools at reading years ago.

YYY's and gaslight anthem - this is the worst. i have never seen YYY's so would like to see them. saw gaslight anthem on the lock up last year and they were very good.

streetlight manifesto/the horros/deftones - wanted to check out the horrors but think it'll have to be streetlight manifesto and then the short walk to deftones.

Pulled apart by horses and fightstar.

I have not seen either, really enjoyed fightstars first to albums, but I can imagine that the pulled apart by horses set will be energetic.

Also a bit gutted with Afi & Lostprophets clashing with Radiohead. I think a lot of my saturday will be spent away from the main stage seeing the Gaslight anthem and the gallows and maybe the hot rats, but would love to see radiohead.

    • If you didn't see melt banana at Apolo. Go see them at the festival. Insane.
    • Interesting, and thanks for coming back to give an update! I've seen that the second stage looks bigger than usual too, looks to be a Serious Stages - Stellar Stage from distance photos.    Seems like sizing wise stages have been scaled up somewhat this year.
    • I see its cancelled now but they did leave it really late to announce plus they are up against Kelburn Garden Party Festival not to far from the festival site.
    • Easily my favourite set of the day.
