No, he was on the side of the knoll but about 20 yards up, pretty much below the book depository on the corner of Elm and Houston. But he distinctly remembers people running over to the knoll. He was with his granny, who he said basically just smothered him when it happened.

The DPD officers story was really interesting. Was on plain clothes duty that day. Remembers getting an "all units" call to the texas theatre. He was covering the back entrance. When the uniformed officers came in to the main entrance of the theatre and told everyone to put their hands on their head he remembers seeing Oswald stand up and head for the exit he was covering, because he was only in plain clothes. Then a uniformed officer stood beside him on the back exit and Oswald changed his mind and moved back to his seat. Gave an account of the Officer McDonalds arrest of Oswald, something about a pistol oswald was carrying cutting McDonalds hand (his texas drawl was very strong, and he was very very old). Apparently then because McDonalds hadcuffs were in a bad position he handed him another pair of handcuffs to make the arrest.

Watched the Quantum Leap JFK episodes recently. Still outstanding.

Never seen the Quantum Leaps, was a little kiddy when they were out so a touch before my time. Are they good then?

It was quite interesting being at Dealey almost exactly the same time of year as the assassination happened. "The tree" does have leaves at this time of year, but I stood on both markers on the road and crouched down to sitting height and its not tall enough to block of a direct line of sight on either shot, and this is almost 50 years of growth later. Was that a bit of Oliver Stone bullshit?

Yeah. They were a response to Stones JFK, really well done and the bit when he leaps into Oswald at the end of the previous episode is stunning.

Yes, as was most of the film. Not to say it isn't a great film though, its absolutely superb. Just a mess factually.

Stephen King has a new book out, 11/22/63, where someone goes back in time to stop the assassination. His best book in a long time they say. Ill be picking this up.

Jonathan Demme (Silence of the Lambs, Philadelphia) is directing the film, starts shooting next year, presume its out for the 50th anniversary in 2103.

There is a load of stuff out there, like emails, that is just made up to back up their argument, and talk about getting aggressive when challenged. Last night one guy went off on a tangent about how vaccinations were useless and a form of control. When I mentioned that obviously they dont work, that is why smallpox is rife across the world. He went mental. It is worrying that there are people like this in the world.

The vast majority of conspiracy theories are built on faulty logic or bad science. They only serve to attract nutters, be easily disproved and make it much less likely that genuine conspiracies would be taken seriously and uncovered.

Surely it is still better to question everything than just go along with everything and anything you are told though? Just because you are being told something on television it doesn't mean that is the definite truth.

I tend t look into most theories and draw my own conclusions.

I have read some of their forums and it does leave me a little worried. Some advocate violence to stop the "spraying". Most of it is got air but I wonder what it would take to push someone over the edge. There really is no reasoning with some. One guy was ranting that they were seeding the sky with heavy metals and bacteria, but the government are covering it up. I mentioned that you can buy off the shelf tests to test water for many things like metals and bacteria, so nest time it rains why not pop out and collect his own samples to test. After the threats he started rambling that obviously the tests will be rigged to give false results. Ffs.
