whoa ..... you have loads of words, but they're ultimately no less negative than anything that's being said to you.

You were on/around site for days. You could have packed up some of these tents and made a difference (however small). Did you?

And further .... you moan about your stuff getting chucked out by ######, suggesting that the guy who threw it out had no right to do that. And elsewhere you mention some stuff you picked up from Jazzworld, yet you have no idea if anyone planned to come back for it - much like the guy did who chucked out your stuff.

While you clearly have loads of energy, perhaps it would be worth channelling some of it into rationalising your actions to match your thoughts, and making those thoughts and actions consistent?

What I STILL dont understand after attending this festival 10 times in 14 years is how and why so many of the regular law abiding citizens that live very normal, day to day, clean, recycling, generally good to your neighbour and fellow man humdrum lives that attend manage to behave in such a way that is quite shocking if it was the RealWorld...I am referring to the littering, the not giving a shit about the neighbours, the land, the owners etc.

Do any of these people young and old live in such ways back in RealWorld...I highly doubt it. I highly doubt any of the selfish folk leave piles of shit everywhere at home, have houses which are covered in crap they cant be bothered to pick up and highly doubt they go around their daily lives with the same f**k off attitude they have when at the festival.

WHY does living in Micheal Eavis' field for 5 days bring this out in such a large number of people? I really really cant understand it.

you see that, right there is a huge gulf in our different perceptions. I would say the opposite to you, I'm always surprised at Glastonbury how many people are kind, polite, thoughtful and do more than that need to. You see at as worse behaviour than the 'real world', I see lots of their behaviour as better than they behave in 'the real world'

Perceptions innit?

Am sure the Eavis family are quaking in their welly boots with the thought zero ticket sales next year. All on the strength of your shitty little campaign/boycott. I think they will really miss you and possibly cancel the whole festival because of you.

Pathetic little boy/girl.

what I mean is exactly that, there's no point getting nasty or personal or stroppy or whatever, cos to me it is all about perceptions, for me, the vast majority of people behave in a more considerate way at Glastonbury than they do in the outside worldd, for you they don't. Neither of us has the objective truth there, it's just how we see it, and obviously that affects what we want to do about it, I'd like to bring a little bit of my glastonbury into my outside world, you'd like to bring a little bit of your outside world into your Glastonbury.

It's all cool, just saying what I think

Se....told you it was getting nasty! Chill the f**k out guys and stop being so bloody mean. The girl means well and you are just all trolling now. Some good arguments but the rudeness to one another for no other reason than getting on your high horses just cos someone has wanted to speak out over something that ruffled them has to stop. :D

says the girl as she gets on her high horse.

We all mean well. And we all fail at times.

The "speaking out" is very often as rude as the responses it gets. :D

I also hasten to add that I'm campaigning for the fish in the pond by the stone dragon. One of the stall holders told me that people are pissing in their water. That's just not nice. I would ask how would any of you like it if I came and had a wee on you while you were in the bath but I'm thinking that some of you would be all for that...

this girl is 29 years old and only now she has realised the problems with the festival faces in terms of clear up etc? where has she been for the rest of her life?

Forgive me for not seeing her as the messiah just because for the first time in her self absorbed life she has realised what clearing up the festival site entails.

As for her "ideas" they have all been thought of and rejected by people with far more experience than someone who spent couple of days on site being humoured by the people that actually know what they are doing.

Her "campaign" is an utter farce.

Save the festival by boycotting it!? She is insane.

Boycotting is not the main plan no! I have a plan, I have many plans but i'm off out in a mo and haven't got the time to go into them on here.

And thanks for the support Bluearsedfly! If that was meant to be a sarcastic response then fine, if a serious one then go do one because I can't be bothered with narrowminded selfish idiots like yourself.

That is fair. Plus you could probably find people who'd accept a low wage on the basis that they're "doing good".

I'm a pessimist when it comes to business schemes, which is why I'm not an entrepreneur I guess.

Thinking through our expectations, I guess you'd organise it like this:

If it's dry enough, tents found erected should be finished off (i.e. peg out all the guy lines people usually omit), checked for damage, vacuumed on the inside, any mud hosed off, allowed to dry, then put away and labelled as complete and checked. Probably 30 mins work for two people, £10 labour.

If it's not dry, tents found erected should be taken down, loosely bagged into a sack, and taken to a barn for processing. 20 mins work for 2 people, approx £7 labour.

Unassembled tents go straight to the barn, whatever their condition (unless they're a biohazard).

At the barn, each person takes one tent at a time. If the fabric is badly damaged, throw it away, and sort the poles and pegs etc. for spares. Otherwise pitch the tent, using spares if parts are missing. There may be some head scratching here. 15 mins for two people, £5. Then another 15 mins checking, cleaning, drying and repacking, £5. Total £17.

Where there's minor damage to the fabric, it's extra work to repair the seams etc -- or just bin them.

But that's just labour. Add VAT, insurance, site rental, management (demanding higher pay!) all adds up.

All that's for "proper" tents. Pop up tents I guess would be less effort - check, clean, dry, fold. But I also guess that more of those would be irrepairable and go straight in the bin.

Still I think with the right organisation, it could work.

    • So we've signed a Horny Czech, and Bruno's turned up the training camp instead of doing Isak's nonsense.   Still not sure I believe Bruno's staying mind, but glad he's not doing the sh*t Arsenal are asking him to do to lower the price. If they want him they can stump up.   My suspicion is that whichever of Madrid/Man City don't start next season with Rodri will go for Bruno, and one of them will come in while Arsenal have f**ked about trying to get him cheap, which while I absolutely want to keep him, would still be good enough bants and a nice middle finger that I wouldn't mind it so much. I just wish we'd report Arsenal for tapping up.   If rumours are to be believed, we're after 2 more defensive signings, and an attacking player, on top of a replacement if Bruno leaves, having already signed a LW, 2 CMs, a GK, and some youth players. Huge churn, but apart from a couple of Bazou Toure's games for Ivory Coast at the world cup, I've not seen any of them play. Over 2 summers we've basically changed our entire team aside from the CBs.
    • I think the level of headliners Bloodstock get is varied    There's been bands who have gone on to play Download in quite a low spot like Meshuggah, Behemoth, Opeth etc.    Then they've had years like 2025 where you can argue that all three headliners are download main stage sub level    Knocked Loose right now i'd argue are 3rd down on main/opus headliner level while EC and FFDP are borderline main stage sub
