I think you may be right. they are going to be there and are friends with the eavis'. Keane or Libs are very very likely. maybe acoustic slots..Id personally prefer Keane, but i know i will get shouted down..

I understand why people dont think it will be radiohead

but if the health and safety comment is even a slight hint at the size of the band (albeit exaggerated)

then it is just as ridiculously not bands from last year a la MGMT/Foals/Vampire Weekend who filled the area but not with dangerous amounts.

Likelihood is that it will be the Libertines many things seem to point to it (who i probably wouldn't go see, never really got them), but sadly bands like Keane/the Killers are quite viable large enough to cause problems at the park, and were rumoured or are around and about.

...I reckon you could add kaisers to that; were meant to be playing, then meant to be only doing reading, then were rumoured again.

they're touring around that time (eg. playing werchter following weekend).

Whilst it'd be great for radiohead or someone, I think it's more likely gonna be someone like kaisers/keane.

I am sure there was all the same kind of speculation and hype last year over the secret gigs and secret acts at The Park.

It is all to do with exclusivity contracts with the other festivals, Mark my words Friday and Saturday at the park will be big acts that will also be playing Leeds/Reading and or V festival. As long as they are not advertised on the Glastonbury bill they will be allowed to play.

My money is on Vampire Weekend - (Playing Leeds/Reading) & Keane - (Playing V festival)

But could also be any of these hot rumours : Razorlight, BB King, Van Morrison, Beastie Boys, David Byrne, Snoop Dogg, Al Green, The Kooks, Katy Perry, Grace Jones, Orbital, Pet Shop Boys, The Libertines, Arctic Monkeys, Coldplay, Squeeze, The Coral, The Blockheads.....

And what about a smiths reunion? Mozza although 50 may be up for it..

Although Radiohead, Arctic Monkeys and U2 are all possibles as have free diarys? (u2 probably not as not their cup of tea on small stage but they are good at the publicity stint type gigs - And they are up for next year apparently

Outsiders Coldplay?

Except that they didn't and The Glade was absolutely rammed with people waiting for 'The London Dust Explosion' and 'The Drunk Soul Brother'

Stopped Lost Vagueness from getting too full though!
