I suppose its just are way to be pessimistic to the last. I refuse to infuse any pessimism myself. I do wonder how an 8 can have any rain mentioned at all. Its two way from the top mark, which would have to be the hottest weather ever imagined possible surely?

I wish I was not so hung up on this bloody weather thread

OK so I've been trying not to get too carried away with the forecasts... But since its looking like this Glasto could see the my best Glasto weather since 94 ..... I thought Id see if I could dig out a weather chart from the end of June 1994. Glasto 94 was Sun City.. Wall to wall blue sky and hot from Wednesday to Sunday....with apparently a spot of rain on Sat night which was so pathetic I didn't notice it. WoW will remember...!! :P

1994 here

2009 here

Erm...spot the difference?!? Bit more of a breeze, from a slightly less warm place....but if anything, this year is looking better???! :)

Need to go and touch lots of wooden things now... :)

1995 was the first year I went and it was a heatwave..

can you get the chart from June 1995? I had a look at the website you got it from but could not make head nor tail of it!

    • Good catch this. Used on the Main stage on Saturday like a really cheap alternative.   Cracking little day though. A few Belgian acts to start the day (Atomic Orchestra, Kids with Buns, Selah Sue), some UK/IE midsized bands to end the afternoon (Gurriers, Wunderhorse, Wet Leg) and then an evening of Deftones, Florence and Underworld.   Can’t wait to be there and (at least try to) make the most of it.
    • I would be surprised if they don't, given 2022 was the twentieth I imagine next year is going to be pushed as the 25th anniversary so having the most local big name artist possible headline seems natural. Maybe SFA are being saved for then too?
    • I’d be incredibly surprised if she was in the headline conversation at all. At best I could say a high Pyramid slot but I reckon maybe Other headliner against a rock act like Fender or even Other sub (where I have her in my predictions). I’d say Gracie Abrams is pulling similar if not better numbers to Tate and she was third down on the Other last year.
    • I dont think headliner. Other stage maybe
    • Sophie Williams (journalist and Mercury Prize judge) was on Huw Stephens' roundtable last week, said she'd love to see Overmono headline Green Man. Does feel like it's bound to happen. 2027 is surely on the cards seeing as they're about to release a new album
