Ive got a feeling in my bones its going to be good weather, as so far everything is falling into place for my stag weekend at Glastonbury....

1) Great turn-out. 14 - 12 of which have never been

2) The one artist I have always wanted to see at Glastonbury decides this year of all years is the year he is going to play

3) So 3 MUST be that it is going to be amazing weather.

Its all fate - destined to make it the best year ever just for me, and my stag week!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

or on the other hand it could chuck it down..... :D

Although Metcheck seems hopeful and near comical at the moment lets look at the weather forecasting facts before we slag them.......

Jackone is giving the start of the fest an 8/10

Steve Murr is also giving an 8/10

And Metcheck are actually being somewhat conservative with the temps even with blazing sunshine all day every day.

Remember a 10/10 is a heatwave ffs and we're on an 8 just a week and a bit before, things are looking damn good! "But hey this is the monsoon season" I hear you yell (aggressively), but the only rain forecast at the mo is the odd quick shower or two.

I have a strong feeling it will be sunny, comfortably warm and we'll all be off our heads and laughing out aloud all festival ;)

Can we have an "I love JackOne/Steve Murr" group on facebook?

It has got to ridiculous proportions that for one month every year I'm on here reading the weather thread, everyday.

So addictive. Gotta be the most addictive thread on the whole wide interwebby.

And now that "one ginormous humdinger of a hot mother fecker" looks more and more likely, I'm getting all tingly in side.

Imaging sitting on the grass, cider in hand (and stomach), with that first realisation that you are a tiny bit sunburnt as your nose feels hot, the grass is ever yellow ,and the alcohol is working too quickly.

Lovely.

Sadly yes. If I remember rightly, the year of the storm the forecast was great until the Sunday before the festival then gradually deterioriated until by the Friday...well, we all remember. I did not expect rain beyond my wildest imagination but there it was. I'll never forget my Dad ringing me up genuinely concerned at 8am to make sure I was alright.

Knowing all of this doesn't stop me being glued to the weather sites like a prize clown though - excitement is building every day! ;)

It was a good'un though...there is no denying it.....something magic about being in the middle of a field chock full of tents and excitement and being right under the biggest storm I have ever seen.

In the words of a true scouser.

It was boss.

Ive just looked at a forecast and its surly a joke! has nobody told them Im going?

http://www.metcheck.com/V40/UK/FREE/event_...asp?eventID=559

All those suns on the page reminds me of the forecast prior to me arriving in Parisfor a week last year..... it all changed to quite the opposite when I arrived ...and then back to suns when I left

and then there's the time I went florida and they started selling wooly hats fer fooks sake! and the rain !! .. hadnt had weather as bad in years according to some ...

and thats just a couple of examples.

even the local carnival where I live got canceled last year too due to bad weather .... the only year to be canceled .....also the only year I was going because my kids were going to be in theprocession!

I can give plenty more examples to past bad weather + me experiences

anyone go to En-Dorset fest last year ?? lol! .... sorry It was my fault too ;)

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
