Seems to me like where overlooking a big band that could be certain to play

Finished a world tour and will be back on the road in the summer.

Still got the last album to promote over here since they only played one show last year.

Not played since absolutely upstaging The Darkness in 2004.

I think they could easily headline this year, if not certainly play below whoever is going to play on the Friday

I can see them playing maybe 3rd from the top, but I wouldn't think there was any chance of them headlining.

The Offspring headlining would be shocking. They were a last resort for Download last year, so no way would they headline Reading.

Would love to see them 3rd from top though, they were brilliant in 2004 (and as you rightly said, totally upstaged the Darkness)

I doubt they'd headline but they're a shit hot live act with enough depth in their back catalogue to play all the hits & still throw in a couple of surprises.

They are definitely not big enough to headline, but are a great festival band with a huge catalogue of great singles. 3rd from top would seem about right for how big they are at the moment.

i went through a massive offspring phase last year, still love half the stuff though, saw the download setlist and was glad i didn't bother going (as much as i like them i wouldn't pay 60 quid just to see them at a festival), two songs off ixney on the hombre! also probably not what the average r and l punter wants now, a bit out of touch.

If they play second, which they seem to like to do, I think they will play second on friday [reading] because the set is a bit longer than the other two second slots...
