This links in with my favourite Glasto story

Walking though my camp site just as the sun is rising and I hear a Mancunian accent screaming bloody hell at a Wayne Rooney flag saying about I bet the person who's hung it is not even at Manchester and its ruining his festival just seeing it.

He turns to me to see If I agree with him and it's only Jimi Goodwin himself. After a chat and him hugging me for saying I support Grimsby Town (he approved that I supported my local team and said that he had the best Fish N' Chips ever when he went to see Man City play us). He walked away with his Mrs and I shouted 'Hope to see you and the boys next year'. At first he looked confused and when he realised what I was talking about he grinned and shouted 'So Do I'.

Very nice bloke and a great great band

This weeks nme, in the album preview sections, says that the Doves are playing.

i wouldnt put em on the JP too big for that (even having been away for so long).

Having said that, again because theyve been away for so long probably missed the boat on a headline other stage slot. but the sunset gig would do. just imagine the sun just dipping below the horizon (fingers crossed ), the sky turning a brilliant hue of orange and pink, and Doves dropping There Goes The Fear.

Ive been listening to Doves for about a week now due to them resurfacing been caning all albums daily and its amaaaaazing, you forget how good a band is when you don`t listen for a while.

Anyway i found this online aswell for anyone who wants..

do you have the 1st 2? i love some cities but IMO its not near as good as The Last Broadcast.

I cannot wait to see them at the Forum & Glasto (that will be the 11th & 12th time seeing them). and im not convinced that will be the end of tour dates (its too small, plus im sure ive heard them say its a mini tour to be followed up with a biggie later in the year) or festival appearances (personally, i'm hoping the good people of latitude get them to headline)

Apparantly there'll be a bigger tour around the release of the new album in April, along with the mini tour in March
