How Bad is Springsteen

I'd struggle to think of an artist that would interest me less on the face of it, but in the spirit of Glasto I'm giving him a chance and am listening to his live 75-85 album today. Disc 1 is ok, but disc 2 which I'm now half way through is absolutely fantastic - and this is on 1st hearing which almost never happens for me. I'm now really excited about seeing him.

I've also fallen in love with Neil Young. This is the beauty of Glastonbury - see who is playing and go and find out about them and have your eyes opened. Pyramid Stage all the way this year for this happy Glasto fanatic. Its gonna be awesome.

I don't understand why so many comparisons with Radiohead are being made, its not like Radiohead were supposed to be playing but then got dropped so Springsteen could play.

I think its a bit insulting to say that an obviously good act is shit just because you like a different genre of music. To someone who loves Springsteen, its almost like saying to them that they have a bad taste in music. You can learn to like all genres of music if you give it time and have the right frame of mind.

My point was...radiohead will always be better than bruce if we did a straw poll on efests. But can you at least compare bruce to the headliners in recent years who havent really been awe inspiring.

Like saying, "yeah Radiohead are headlining, so what, there are better bands out there". Doesnt come into it. Compare them to bands that might have been headlining instead, and oh...your left with Coldplay or Kasabian. Thank f**k!

I have to agree with red day, Springsten's shite in my opinion too. I've not seen him live because I don't like any of his music, don't feel it has any relevance to me whatsoever and I wouldn't be interested in seeing him at Glasto. Each to their own though, theres bound to be something I want to see instead, just like last year with the Kings Of Leon

    • Proper loser behaviour wearing a tee like that. Me and my mate play a game every year called ‘Boomer Tees’ and there’s some gems every time.
