Oh, one other thing - regret faffing about with packing up on Sunday for a car trip & getting caught in the gate C clusterf*ck coming back in. Meant I didn’t see any acts until 3:15 Sunday afternoon which was a shame.

Mostly really happy with my choices this year - totally embraced the ethos of “see who you want to see in the moment” and it worked out 😄 So some very minor things… - Leaving Kae Tempest’s Truth stage set early to try & get in for KH (Four Tet) at BBC Introducing. Tent was rammed - should have stuck with Kae. - Drinking my entire night’s supply of vodka before the end of Four Tet at the park 🤦‍♂️ By the time I’d got to IICON for Overmono I was in a mess & have very little memory of anything… That’s pretty much it though!

@blutarsky hopefully this still works? Was initially meant to be for E&D ad-hoc meet-ups during the festival but still a bit of chat going on. 🙂

Antibacterial wipe around the seat to make extra sure and away you go. Obviously disposed of afterwards in a bin, not chucked down the hole. I too am not sure of the benefits of a loo paper ring… Sounds like a lot of faff to me. 🤷‍♂️

Caught The Little Unsaid in the Bimble Inn on Thursday - purely on the basis of hearing one song from them on @Brave Sir Robin’s playlist and liking it. Really enjoyable set, talented band and the frontman is bonkers in a good way. 🙂 Defo going to listen properly to some of their stuff now.

Thanks for the update - yeah that’s pretty much what I’d guessed. I totally think the festival should be exploring weird & wonderful concepts like Cineramageddon - it’s part of what makes it so magical! OTOH if it’s not drawing the punters then no shame in changing things up.

I saw on its signage it’s run by a local sub-aqua club hence the name. 🙂 Guess it’s a good fundraiser! Despite being in Cockmills myself I never managed to eat there - shame cos it did look good.

I went nowhere near it - anyone who did, was it busy? Proof will be in the uptake, if it was full then likely to stay I guess.

I got the impression something was a bit wrong with the gate setup tbh - the way the queue suddenly went from static to moving was totally different from the slow, steady progress on the way in on Weds. It also looked like there weren’t enough stewards to cope with queue jumpers going straight down the hill. Eventually seemed to get a bit more organised - also everyone in the queue started loudly booing the queue jumpers. Provided a bit of entertainment at least! 😂

Separate sales - get your ticket first, then sale opens up for WV, Sticklinch, Campervans etc at a later point.

I dunno, it was about 1:30 when I came through… suppose could be a lot of late risers on Sunday!

The queue getting back in after a car run on Sunday was far, far worse than in 2016 when I did the same thing. Also missed acts as a result, very frustrating. I don’t know what the issue was, after 45 mins+ all of a sudden the queue started shifting and from then on moved ok.

Actually devastated I missed the crumble shack. 😢 Bloody love crumble…

Best was a fried chicken & halloumi combo box with spicy garlic mayo & chips from the place opposite the lockup in Michael’s Mead by the path through the woods. Didn’t have high expectations but absolutely delicious. Honourable mention to Mexican Seoul, also very good. Honestly don’t think I had anything I’d call bad?

Great idea! Gonna have to come back to it later tho as actually got work to do… rubbish. Does it have to stick within the 14 track limit, and can you include other peoples songs that DJs played in their sets?

Yeah I’ll add to the chorus. Game changer for sure. Amused me on Weds this year, I’d just come back from a second trip to the car and was melting. Decided to sit in the shade of the porch for a bit of relief - chap walking past said “You’ll be even hotter in there mate!” I just smiled smugly. 😁

My feelings exactly! Very glad I caught her. Got her music on now… making the first day back to work a little more bearable.

Spot on this - also toilet queues. This was especially bad leaving the Other around towards the Glade where there were always long queues clashing with the flow of people leaving the stage. Some way of segregating off toilet/food/bar queues from people moving through would help a lot IMO. Again, tricky to achieve in reality though.
