I quite like that effect where the sound fades louder or quieter as the wind gusts… when I’m walking past a stage going somewhere else. It’s kind of like a festival audio memory experience thing. When I’m actually trying to watch an act though it’s feckin annoying.

Arrrggghh FFS - took the car in for a service & MOT. Turns out the garage can't fix a fault with the tyre pressure monitoring system... and that's an automatic MOT fail. 😩 Frantically rang around main VW dealers, managed to get it booked in tomorrow - just bloody hope they can sort it. Entirely my own stupid fault for leaving it last minute, stress I really don't need!

I am 99% sure you can totally legitimately buy one when you arrive - loads of previous posts to that effect. 🙂 (That 1% doubt is just ‘cos I’ve never actually done it myself…) According to the website you could order a parking pass directly but tomorrow is the cut-off date. To be honest given how close to the wire See are leaving it with some of the ticket dispatch I’d be tempted to not risk it & just buy one on arrival - or hopefully someone can sort you out.

Doesn’t seem to have its own presence anywhere, no… Not sure if you’ve seen the updates from site photos already but looks like the Spike will be changing a bit this year with an increased bar & seating capacity but no live music or DJs.

Well, she performed at the Queen’s jubilee thing just the weekend before last… but a full set is a different story to just one song.

Never actually managed to get inside Stonebridge, plan to change that this year. Never properly sat down to watch a performance somewhere in Theatre & Circus (as opposed to wandering through & catching random stuff happening).

One week from now I’ll be putting booze in the freezer for a last chill before packing the coolbox. Then I’ll be counting down the minutes till my OH gets home from work so I can get on the road!

Good grief, what did you do? Nightmare start to the festival. ☹️ I got all my money nicked on the Weds night in '97 - I don't think I knew about the lockups then! - and honestly don't know how I coped. I guess mates must have helped me out... hope I paid them back. 😂

You'd like to think the festival have a little bit of breathing room in the site build so they could say "right, no heavy vehicle movements for Sunday afternoon to let this crap go through." Don't know if that's realistic though.

It is more often than not unpredictable, but this year is taking it to a whole new level. Plus the dry weather so far is setting up a whole psychological sub plot - it feels like we're *just this close* to a wonderful dry festival and it's all coming down to the last few days. As opposed to, say, 2016 when we were trying to find reasons for optimism but frankly it was obvious it was going to be a mess.

I have a visit there planned for a recovery lunch (and very possibly a nap) on the Monday. 🙂

It would feel like a lot if it dumped 6mm in an hour. Spread out over a whole day, not so much. 🤷‍♂️

I certainly haven't been around on a Monday afternoon to see for myself, but my perception from what I've seen on social, what the festival themselves have shared etc. is that it's nowhere near as bad these days. That video is from 13 years ago after all! 🙂 Sure someone with actual experience will be able to add more.
