    Thinking this too
  3. Now longer a rumour... Quite a few big surprises here - one that Newey is managed by Eddie Jordan, hinting he's more involved in F1 than I thought given I thought Jordan was just a sideline sniper, but perhaps the biggest is that Red Bull were ok with him not having a period of gardening leave and means that, by April 2025, he's free to join another team if he opts not to retire. It's also quite something that this might lead to further speculation about other members of the Red Bull empire, given Mercedes are aggressively targeting Max Verstappen to replace the Italy-bound Lewis Hamilton and there's still uncertainty over Red Bull given the whole Horner thing.
  4. Remainers didn't care as much as the leavers. Very few of the left leaning musicians spoke out until after the vote. That made me quite angry when, all of a sudden, everyone was making out what a terrible thing it was after the fact. Where were they when it mattered? Won't get into it. Still makes me angry.
  5. Yup indeed. I know this may sound odd but with a different vocalist would they immediately get a headline spot or be asked to accept a sub. For for the record, I don't want them with any other singer.

O-Rod, Dave and Rihanna would still be my guess. I'm still trying to get a ticket for orod on twickets to save myself from really needing a ticket. I don't think she'll do it until after the fallow yea
  7. The funny thing I went to listen to him again after and wondering whether Lucy Spraggan and The Cat Empire is still a better idea.
  8. We still have Block9 and The Common to come but the latter will just be more DnB which is ok but oversaturated at the G.
  9. The shelf brackets. I drilled small holes and used self tapping screws, worked fine, but pop rivets would've probably worked better. If you're referring to the trolley on the right with the hathersack on we were at a toilet stop, so my friend was in the loo leaving their hathersack on the trolley. Even when fully loaded you balance the weight over the wheels so it's not that hard to push. But of course it's when you get to mud the trouble starts. The trolley you show looks a good contender, seems like it has decent wheels even for mud. On my scratch built one because the wheels are so large, the lever principle comes into effect and mud hardly makes a difference.
  10. Thanks for these tips! Just listening to KLO essential mix and loving it.
  11. They say not... and they'll be disappointed if they hope to be on TV from Leftfield
  12. UPDATE! I've now been through the wonderfully weird little venue that is Platform 23. It's all over the place, genre-wise (no bad thing at all!), and for me so far there is: - Aæe* - this year's Client_03. Acid-ey techno played live through analogue machine things - Architect - Minna-No-Kimochi - a couple of Japanese kids whose set I've seen on YT is metal! This might just scratch a Trance itch, folks! Ben
  13. I woke up, picked up my phone, saw the incomplete headline "Britain narrowly votes..." as I groggily tried to open the story, someone in the next tent yelled "FOR f**k'S SAKE" and I heard a phone landing heavily. I didn't need to open the story. Strange atmosphere all day.
  14. The Woodsies poster is pretty specific, I think. The Orb, Hillage and The Egg are live, the others seem very much to be ambient DJ sets... Ben
  15. Hope so. Would like to catch them but at the moment looks like they clash with Avril Lavigne who I want to see for nostalgia

No chance Swift is doing festivals next year i.e. a largely brand new show after touring Eras for two years.

O-Rod + (insert established act) + Dave with Billy Joel as legend. Mulling over the Saturday established act, but seriously doubt it would be Swift.
  18. Oh, no worries - i didn't think that you were having a dig. I think that I might have had a fleeting flash of concern at the time. I've had a smoke, so things a bit hazy at this end. You were right to question.
  19. So I’ve done a bit of digging off the back of this and @MJP’s suggestion to switch lodgings and I’ve found these two options: Hunters Lodge Inn just east of Wincanton on the A303 http://www.hunterslodgeinn.com/ or Sparkford Inn in Sparkford which appears to be even closer to the A37. https://www.sparkfordinnpubyeovil.co.uk/ I’ve currently got an AirBnB booked in Coxley but I’m within my cancellation window. I feel mean cancelling late but will do so if it’s going to save me a huge a lot of time, traffic and hassle. Do you both think it’s definitely worth making the switch and if so which of the two new options are the better location for easy Wednesday morning Tangerine Fields travel?
  20. Well, why not? Give those people settling down with their chairs and blankets for the afternoon something to think about. (oops, well spotted)
  21. Stayed at the Premier Inn right next to the Bristol bus station last year. Was absolutely brilliant waking up fresh faced, a shower under my built and only a 3 minute walk to the station. The brekkie was decent and snuck a couple of bacon sarnies out with an apple and banana for lunch. Quiet room on floor 7, few beers watching Die Hard. Loads of other festival attendees there too! Was in the queue for about 20 minutes. No one gave a toss about what coach timed you'd booked, it was first come first served, no one complained about that. Never experienced it before, but they had us chuck our bags in a separate van which followed us to the festival. Was really worried my stuff had got lost but it was just the last out 😁 My plans had changed because I was expecting friends to come, so one tip I would use is to make good use of booking com's free cancellation policy if you're unsure! Other than that, there should be a lot of options in the bigger cities if you don't mind travelling from Bath or Bristol.
  22. Fabulous use of shelf brackets. The bottom added section is of your own making. Is it pop riveted together? As for the 4th photo down - is that seriously one load!? What kind of a beast of a man are you!? That's a seriously insane load. I once had a one wheeled version of this to use at glastonbury; It was fully loaded to about twice the height of the wheelbarrow top rim, and then some. As I 'drove' it upto the ticket checking point, a steward congratulated me. He went onto indicate that I was in second place as to the loads they'd seen that day. Apparently someone who had entered before me had outdone me, by popping an untethered young child on the very top of it all - the child bouncing around and all that, I suspect. All that said, I bow down to the lunatic load you've shown us all.

Wonder if the logic is that more people might go to the talks/panels if they don't clash with so much of the music on the main stages.
  24. Oh it wasn’t a dig btw!! As always, thanks for sharing!!!
  25. wanted to stay there but they are charging around £200 per room for the Tuesday night. did it in 2017 when they chatted about £90 for a triple, worked well but we are not paying that so alarm at 3am instead it is!
  26. ive used a couple of space blankets over my cheap Asda one .... still a bit of ice left on the Sunday
