    The pogues

I really hoped there would be some kind of tribute to Shane and especially Sinead who had a long history with the festival this year. Would have been a nice touch.
  3. Anybody here who is into the DnB scene can help if there are anybody playing 90s style Jungle/Intellgent style on the farm this year?
  4. I've already activated my ticket and the "Transfer ticket" option is still available in the app.
  5. I don't know if anyone mentioned them before, but my favourite showcase artist are Hause Plants. Let's hope they'll play at the forum too.
  6. If it was my last every Glastonbury, and heck, last year could've been my last for all I know, I would follow your heart with bands and stages. It's very easy to get swept away with friends and their plans. See the acts you really want to see even if they're playing on a tiny stage against a big draw. Don't go and see anyone you feel like you have to. As for activities, it's really up to you. Big grand performance on the Pyramid would be worth it if there's one you want to see. Only eat at your favourite food stalls (but equally time it so you're not queueing for an hour and wasting time). Don't run around like you're missing out on something somewhere else. Saviour the moments even when walking between the sets, take in the surprises and the performances - whether its in the Theatre and Circus or walking through The Reach. Buy a souvenir that you'll look back on. A poster, a tea-towel, a t-shirt, something physical that you'll actually get use out of. Hit up your favourite places at least once. The sign on the hill, the SEC when it's not so busy, the Stone Circle on the first night. Relive in a way, but don't try to recreate, if that makes sense. You also don't want to chase past feelings... Not sure if that's helpful or not, but that's what I would do.
  7. Some unsavoury types washed in by the green surge
  8. So i bought my ticket through Dice. It says i have to activate it in the AccessTicket app. I want to go to the Phoenix show on Wednesday, so i'll have to activate it before the 8th (aka tomorrow). Could I still send the festival ticket to someone else in the unlikely chance i couldn't attend the festival on short notice (illness, travel problems etc)? Or is that no longer possible, once the ticket is activated?
  9. Just because this thread has been bumped... I was relaying to Child 1 and Child 3 this weekend the eye-watering cost of Lost Village. With all the noise about how expensive Glastonbury is (and it ain't cheap, don't get me wrong, but we're talking comparatives here...), and with barely a live band in sight on their line-up (which from a DJ perspective is, in fairness, pretty strong...), were you to purchase a final release Lost Village 2024 ticket, with booking fee it would cost you 360 BRITISH POUNDS!! 😲 The boys were astonished and both guessed around £280. And they've both been, and Child 1 has been to Glastonbury three times. I maintain that, within the market climate, The Farm remains astonishing value for money. Ben
  10. There was definitely a huge Tomatino-esque tomato fight a few years ago, in the Temple...ah I see people have chimed in already 🤣
  11. Oh my God, its the church! are bloody brilliant live. Definitely worth a watch if you've not seen them before.
  12. If the Clashfinder is correct and Woodsies runs with Voice of Baceprot > Lambrini Girls > Remi Wolf, that'd be a helluva great way to start the Friday off. A great run, all new to me, and all sound brilliant in their own way.
  13. Changes from day to day so 25 days before is Tolkien levels of fantasy.
  14. Am hoping to check out Big Special ( Leftfield) - like a couple of their tracks caught on R6
  15. This year has surely proven that there most certainly is no pattern
  16. So T&C dropped today. Hopefully map by end of week!
  17. I thought after 21 Glastonbury’s that 2022 would be my last - I was in a lot pain from arthritis in my hips walking with a stick and limited mobility to get around the site ( I later found out I had a collapsed hip!) and I also got COVID so by Saturday was feeling grim. Failed to get tickets last year but had come to the conclusion I wasn’t going to be fit enough with both hips getting worse to go again. 18 months later I now have 2 new hips ( 2 ops in 10 months!) and am volunteering with Oxfam! It may have been my last as a punter and start of a new way to experience Glastonbury in my retirement 😀
  18. Today
  19. Old time sailors who are already on the Avalon poster doing a walkabout down Williams green would be fun.
  20. I was there too and it was amazing. I only saw him live for the first time last year at Villa Park and was blown away so jumped at the chance to see him again. The set list was varied, lots of crowd pleasers but some more obscure ones too ... I think it changes a bit every night. His interaction with the crowd was lovely, and he and his band seemed to genuinely love every moment. To be performing for 3 hours straight is some feat! And praise too to the venue - I've never been to the Principality stadium before and it was fantastic. Really well organised, easy getting in and out, no real queues for anything, and having the roof on added a different dimension. Loved it !
  21. I think this year has to be the year I make the effort to see John Cooper Clarke
  22. Map tomorrow, Croissant Neuf Wednesday, new version of Arcadia Friday this week is my guess
  23. Lots of the same...was really hoping for a bit more change on here this year. Comedians especially are pretty much exactly the same again... can't see any big top headliners yet either. It's one of my favourite areas I do hope there's some more individual announcements to follow with something a bit more special
