Think most of the bands i want to see will be clashing with another that i want to see

As in plural? You're doing well. I was asked to name three bands I wanted to see and I struggled to make a list of two.

So... as long as 2ManyBJs and the Tubby Mondays don't clash...

On FB now!! Didn't realise how weak the lower main stage lineup is until now.

I'd agree with this sentiment. Although the main stage is surely aimed at a very mainstream audience, who probably won't turn up until the late afternoon / early evening. Certainly not on the strength of the Giddy Gringos' "Latin Salsa Boogaloo". It's the party stage, if you want quality, look elsewhere. Specifically, the Calling Out stage, which is looking excellent, as it was last year. Saturday on Calling Out looks awesome. With a capital Awe.

Imagine the Calling Out will be rammed most of the weekend. And what on earth were they thinking putting Catfish on 2nd in the Calling Out?? Thats mental. They got a massive crowd at Truck on the main stage at the weekend

I agree about Catfish. I've seen them about half a dozen time in small venues (including two years ago in the House Party tent with about 20 others) and I'm glad to see they're picking up attention. They seemed to go down a storm at T in the Park too. Looking forward to Augustines, although they will probably clash with Frank Turner. Mind, I've seen him about ten times so I can miss this one. Augustines were getting a lot of love from people who'd seen them at Latitude.

I found a 2012 clashfinder (nothing for 2013) and the top 2 of Calling Out clashed with the headliners, so Bottlemen & Jimi Goodwin vs Suede? Was it the same last year?

Finday then over to Suede for me if so like.

Bugger - if Catfish clash with Suede that gives me a dilemma. Might watch Catfish and then head for Suede for the end of the set when it will hopefully be packed with their best tunes!

Agree about weakness of lower main stage - Molly Warburton first on Sunday was in my local this Sunday. She was good but just doing covers - think she may have her own stuff but does seem a big step up...small pub in Lake District to main stage at a festival in space of 2 weeks.

The calling out headliners slots tend to be between 10pm an 11am so it will clash with the main stage headline acts. The calling out stage turns into the cinema tent after it finishes if they're using the same format.

I've seen augustines 3 times now and they're great live, put a lot of emotion into their songs. Luckily for me I'm seeing them at wickerman on Friday an then gonna decide if I wanna see them at kendal as well, which I more than likely will

could be seen as slightly condescending to other people who like the sort of music on the main stage

Not to me though, im well aware my music tastes are far from decent quality :D

Like the look of the of Friday with Admiral Fallow, Findlay and Catfish all after each other in the Calling Out followed by Suede on the main.

Splits haven't really made much difference to my plans still gonna spend the majority of the weekend just drifting about and see where i end up.

Yep, you're totally right to call me out (see what I did there?!) on my being condescending. It's a trap I fall into too often. I can't wait to see Suede so I'm not even standing by my own waffle.

To be more specific what I mean is Calling Out is generally top quality fresh goods right from midday onwards, whereas the main stage is often a somewhat rum combination of the cheesy and the cliched right through to the headline slot, with only the occasional diamond in the rough (Suede / Athlete / Reel Big Fish in this case) to temper the base metal. Not that I'm complaining, each stage has its own pros and cons, having such varied acts in a relatively small space is what makes the crowd so admirably diverse, music-wise.

Having said that, apart from Reel Big Fish (and even they are essentially a novelty band) Sunday on the main stage is looking depressingly ordinary.
