how long did any anyone queue up for the park n ride to get out of the place?

 

we got in the queue for 11 am and were in it for 2 hrs 20 mins

Saw James & the ensemble on the Saturday which ended up being massively delayed - but met some great people in the queue. Enjoyed it so much that we queued for Gaz Coombes the next day too which was the best thing I saw all weekend- really hope it was recorded!

This was my first Festival No 6 and I really liked it. I felt like quite a lot of the novelty of the festival came from the site itself, but still we would never have been short of things to see and do if it had been the same bill and food stalls all in a random field. One of the big things that struck me, which I suppose comes from it being the first week in September, was the noticeably older average age than the other festivals I've been to. Not necessarily a good or bad thing, just something I noticed. Really it meant that the spread of ages was a lot more even than anywhere else. The group I went with really loved it and want to go again next year if they're free, I can see myself going back when the line-up's to my taste again. All things considered, the food was my favourite thing about it, all killer no filler there.

this year was my third time going and it was probably the most enjoyable, best atmosphere and the sun stayed out all weekend. Didnt know what to expect at grace jones and I was blown away, she was phenomenal.

same here. thought she'd put on a decent show but seeing her turn into a human disco ball and then hula hooping around the stage for 15 minutes was not to be sniffed at. exceptional.

Anyone happen to know if I can get a full refund on the deposits of I choose not to pay of the balance by the deadline?

Early days I know but looking to put the deposit down on 2 tickets as a Xmas present but not entirely sure we would be able to make it come the deposit payment date.

The terms and conditions for last year were clear. If you don't pay the balance by the due date you lose your deposit and don't get a ticket. i.e. Deposit is non-refundable. I would be surprised if that changed this year but you could always give them a ring and check.

I thought that was what a deposit was anyways. If you put it down, and don't pay the rest, you lose it. It's always been how I've seen a deposit work no matter what it's for.

For Glastonbury you get your deposit back less an admin fee I think. Deposit £50 get £35 back

Looking at this festival for next year, has anyone stayed in the Portmeirion self catering accommodation advertised on the website. Wanted to know when these become available and how much they might cost. Also are they right in the middle of the action, could noise be a problem through the night?

Pretty sure that the village closes early, so you should be fine for that. Don't know how much it costs though.

Pretty sure it's somewhere around 2-3x regular prices during the festival. And sells out fast...

The village shuts at 9 ish so noise not too bad. I hope you are rich though because it costs 2 to 2.5 k to hire them and they go very quickly. There is posh camping and local accommodation if you book up early if you don't fancy slumming it. You should go - it's amazing

It's a shame they close the village,it would be much better if you could use the bars and the sound systems in the woods at night,I found it lacking at night because of this.

Thanks for all the replies they have been most helpful. We were looking to book a cottage for up to eight but probably not rich enough! I think now we would look for local accommodation but we want it to be within walking distance, anyone know or can recommend anywhere?

With Primal Scream announcing a late summer festival, anyone else reckon they might be a shout for Festival No. 6? Sounds right up their alley.

They played the first one in 2012. I don't know if they'd be up for repeating headliners five years into the fest's existence, but I suppose it's possible.

I didn't realise they'd headlined before, and I figure that New Order will return, and I highly doubt that they'd do two repeats in the same year, and I'm even doubtful on the one.

I think Suede will be one of the headliners - just makes sense with the kind of bands they've booked previously and having a new album out. Not given that much thought to any other possibles but I think the range of headliners they've booked in the past couple of fests has opened it up so that they needn't dip into the repeats already.

I'm not sure that it's the need when it comes to New Order. I'd guess they're massive fans, and would want them on this tour, and it'd also be quite a good booking given that they've impressed on this tour and people might decide to go and catch them.

Tears for Fears just announced for Camp Bestival. I'd love to see them live - they have some great tunes.

Fancy Chvrches as the "new" headliners. I think they could pull that slot off at FN6.

Seen a man getting into a van holding a big A3 piece of paper with the FNo6 logo on it in big. Looked hot off the press. WHAT COULD THIS MEAN!? Happened today, roughly 12pm, Oldham Street, Manchester. I'll have more on this story as it develops.
