Kylie now has gigs in Belfast on the Friday and Sunday. I reckon that means Glasto isn't happening.

And one of my very excellent sources tells me that Radiohead aren't playing either. While this can't be confirmed for definite, what this person is telling me is very likely to be the case.

they're doing a few festivals already confirmed. roskilde, werchter, hurricane/southside etc. quite surprised they might not do glasto, had them pretty much as dead certs. I'll probs go to werchter again this year anyways so will get to see them there. front row of 2003 was fantastic!

just looked over at atease... the radiohead fansite. and they have said the same think quoting efestivals..nice to know everyone runs to efestivals when theres new info!

Ed O’Brien recently said that Glastobury is on the agenda, but also that everything is on the agenda. This sparked some hope for an appearance at the Glastonbury festival.

But eFestivals has had word from one of their more reliable sources that Radiohead won’t be at Glastonbury next year. It looks like Radiohead have decided against appearing at any UK festivals this summer - apparently they turned down offers from at least one other festival. The band did confirm to play festivals in the rest of Europe (Roskilde, Southside, Hurricane and Werchter). Radiohead are set to be playing summer shows in London, Manchester and Glasgow, which we will hopefully receive final dates for.

But in reality, I'd be very sorry not to see Radiohead again at Glastonbury, and Deb will be sorry if Kylie doesn't appear. I'd have wanted to see Kylie out of curiosity at least (and Deb would erm have 'encouraged' me to go along anyway :) ).

<clutches at straws> Bet we'd have been working our shifts during their slots anyway. If the headliners are less of a draw, it matters less for us which shifts we're handed ....

My personal straw-clutch is that this is Radiohead goofin around again. We didn't know of theirs or Thom's album being released until quite close, so maybe they'll be there despite all reports to the contrary

Meantime, does that leave us with 2nd-album bands being headliners again? Ah well, tis the vibe as William says...

With all due respect, seven months in advance I doubt you - or many others - have much of a clue what's going on inside the Radiohead camp.

I'm pretty sure they'll play, if only because it makes so much sense sense. It will take more than an anonomous tip off to tip the balance, I'm afraid.

well, you can believe me or not, it's up to you. I don't even say for sure that I do know what's going on, but I have my sources which i know thru experience nearly always know what's what.

Gutted they're touring the same weekend as Glastonbury - hopefully they'll still play. Don't think I'd go see them anyway, if they're playing at Manchester LCCC - not the best venue I've ever been to.

And tickets for the Belfast gig are costing 70 euros which is just over 50 quid!

Crew -- which we will almost certainly be -- have to be on (Glasto) site on Tuesday 24th ...

So please, Radiohead, defy the balance of probability, and come to Pilton on Saturday 28th!!

      I got in for £11.25 in the end, which was absolutely ridiculously good value, and made the queues and overselling of the venue much more tolerable! Sniping in on other people’s unwanted tickets on the day of an event might become my new hobby I think 🥳

      Ann and Nancy Wilson are planning a final world tour for HEART starting next year. They were never at Glastonbury. They should do it.

      sub yes I could see but I don't think they get 1hr 15, a headliner starting at 18:15 though is unlikely. Even the recent co-headlines that have had like 1hr 15 then a 1hr 30 after were on 8pm or just before, you are trailing behind more than 1.5 hours then. In that scenario some 3rd down bands are only starting at 18:15 and some haven't lol. I agree they won't not book them due to this but it won't be 6 headliners. It would be 5 headliners and you wouldn't want to see 5 headliners booked but Biffy were to not be thouhgt of as an option for one. Wolf Alice on the other hand could sub no bother and you'd think nothing of it. I'm not so sure Biffy would get headline though after the festival choice in Kendal this year.

      Definitely. UKIP also used Merkel welcoming 1 million Afgans to Europe in 2015 during the brexit vote.   Politicians in other countries within the EU know the are going to lose voters to parties to the right of them over stuff like this and they've no control over it.
