```
49 3131 686F7065 3135 796F75 38 6D697373 3236 6D65
```

If we look closer, some parts look like **hexadecimal** (base-16) values — particularly things like `686F7065`, which in ASCII is **“hope”**.

Let’s decode the hex segments:

| Hex      | ASCII |
| -------- | ----- |
| 49       | I     |
| 3131     | 11    |
| 686F7065 | hope  |
| 3135     | 15    |
| 796F75   | you   |
| 38       | 8     |
| 6D697373 | miss  |
| 3236     | 26    |
| 6D65     | me    |

Putting that together gives:

👉 **“I 11 hope 15 you 8 miss 26 me”**

That doesn’t make perfect grammatical sense yet, but it could be a **coded message** — maybe referencing **dates** related to Sziget Festival.

For example:

* “11–15” could be **11–15 August**, when Sziget usually happens.
* “8” might represent **August (the 8th month)** again.
* “26” could be a **day**, or a clue to something else (like a campsite or ticket number).

So, one interpretation could be:

> “I hope you miss me — Sziget 11–15 August.”

It might be a **hidden message** or **personal code** — maybe from someone leaving a message related to Sziget dates (11–15 August) or ticket numbers.

I know the festival has bigger problems right now, but I think this is important too, and I would like to share that Imre Benkő passed away yesterday. He was an exceptional Hungarian photojournalist who had been documenting the festival from the very beginning, and he continues to inspire photographers to this day.

In 2003, he published his book Arcok – Sziget Fesztivál 1993–2002, and he continued the project in the following years until the end. If you ever bumped into an older man with a youthful vibe and an analog camera, it was probably him. 🙂

You can check out some his work at these sites:

Rest in peace, Imre.

"I see that not everyone managed to understand the situation and future of the Island Festival.

If we want to help save the Island, if we want to get discounts for young people of Budapest, this is my goal, then there is no time left. Perhaps it is still enough to correct today's bad committee decision.

In the Owners Committee, the representatives of Fidesz did not vote, and the representatives of Tisza boldly resisted, therefore the abolition of the land use agreement with Sziget Ltd. did not receive a majority.

The matter is quite simple: a new authority contract cannot be signed, and in fact, a request cannot be legally lodged until the old authority contract is in force.

We know that, based on the old contract of authority, the foreign owner who accumulated a loss worth billions of billions, will no longer be organizing the island next year. So, if we want to have a new Island Festival with Hungarian owners next year, the old contract must be terminated and then a new one must be signed.

It's not that complicated.

The abolition was not voted by the majority of the Owners Committee today, closing the process of signing the new contract.

Time is very short: if the sale of tickets for the next year’s festival cannot start this month, then the Island will become economically impossible.

I admit, I don't understand why the voting took place like this. Maybe because a short time out of compulsion was not sufficient to process the entire legal situation, the financial situation of Sziget Ltd., especially the characteristics of the festival market? Who knows.

I can do one thing now: I initiate for the Owners' Committee to reconvene and to put the issue on the agenda again. Call experts, ask for help, do whatever, but don’t make the mistake of depriving many thousands of people of the experience of freedom and Budapest of a cultural value."

This is pissing me off so bad btw.

I know everyone's better than Orbán but this lack of competence that Tisza is displaying in the Budapest city council time and time again scares me... Stop f**king around with Sziget or there's no festival to make deals with.

I despair sometimes at the ignorance and/or pig-headedness of some of the world's politicians.

However, it's no point him moaning now, he should've been there to drive it through.

Unless, of course, his aim is to be the knight ion shining armour coming over the hill to deliver for the people of Budapest at the last minute......

Orban regime and fidesz is desperate to destroy every good things that (still) left in this miserable country, tisza is no good

I'm still confident this is going to go through the council for the second try. Tisza is literally not winning anything with not letting it go through, it's not their money to gamble with, if the city goes bankrupt Karácsony (or the government) gets the blame, but if Sziget won't be organized next year, they could face some backlash from some of the younger voters in Budapest.

Never expected to discuss politics here, yet there's the Kneecap thing, and now this.

And we've still got 6 months until the election. Until then they might even swim the whole island to Austria.

Am I the only one who think its getting unlikely that sziget will happen next year?

I would be surprised, perhaps rushing it through isnt the greatest idea either.

Full reset for 2027 wouldnt be a bad idea.
