Appreciated!

Is it normal for a band to play Ziggo and Pinkpop? Saw Ziggo done are teasing GNR

From what I’ve seen, it’s usually unlikely. The oddity amongst the heavier touring acts, seems to be SOAD not picking up any Dutch dates at all.
GNR have looked a shadow of their former selves and can’t say I’d be overly excited with them on the card.

I've only seen a handful of songs at Ozzy's final gig....great songs, but the voice isn't there.

Hope it’s a good one for you.  Looking forward to it myself from a selfish point of view for the Rock Werchter crossover

If it’s particularly weak haha, I have always considered ticking off a Werchter. How do you find it in terms of site infrastructure, logistics (queues for amenities / movement between stages) and general value? 🙂

So last year was my first one and in comparison to the Uk ones I’ve been to the organisation is amazing.  The site is big enough to have a wide variety of options but small enough to be able to jump from stage to stage easily.  Value is good for the amount and size of acts you can see too.  Only thing I think that lets it down is food options are quite repetitive (but I’m used to Glastonbury for a million options)

Solid launch! Shame they couldn’t bag a big hitter female, Florence or someone, but lots still to be announced and you can only book who / what is available (and will shift tickets).

Stoked to see Twenty One Pilots up there. Some graft they are putting in over June / July 26 haha.

That's a solid beginning for me that. 3 good headliners, plus the first sighting of my fave Editors. Franz, Idles, Kingfishr, Pretty Reckless, Royel Otis, Wet Leg, White Lies, The Beaches (the best band about at the min imo) all ticking some boxes there.

Thats a top hit that getting Foos and The Cure plus TOP out of the other options. Editors, Yungblud too is great. Below that not much going on so obvious where the money has been spent but decent.

Idles a solid festival booking, Pretty Reckless commands (usually) some reasonable festivals (Download etc). Wet Leg and Teddy Swims got a lot of hype. Zara Larsson should be fun. I think it’s pretty great across the board. Always, enjoy having artists I’m not familiar with and wondering between the tent and third stage with a beer! So, always happy with a lot of names I’m not familiar with too!

Not an Idles man or much of the other stuff but only fest getting Foos and The Cure

Die Spitz are supporting Foo Fighters on a number of dates, but not appeared on the initial release. Would love to see them.

I think my main hope for the lineup that hasn’t materialised is Big Thief!

  • 4 weeks later...

Who we all thinking could be included in a second drop of artists? I was wondering if the Sex Pistols and Frank Carter performance could be added. Hoping for Big Thief (unlikely), but we can hope!

Pinkpop typically announces its second batch of artists in mid‑ to late January, a few weeks after the initial headliners etc. That said, we got a lot more artists in the first drop than I recall in previous years, so I’m wondering if this will influence the second drop.
