People said the same thing in the past about AC/DC, Muse and Green Day.

Foos have been preliminarily booked twice in the past and then changed plans. So they are open to it. It’s just a matter of the right time and offer, it will happen eventually.

ik about them being "booked" for 2008 but when was the other time?

How many times are they going to change plans though when it comes to Download? It's not like there was 8 years between 2008 and 2016, or like 7 years since 2016.

There’s been 9 years since 2016 my man 😄 But yeah, Download is clearly not a priority for them. But I still maintain when the timing/offer is right they will eventually end up playing.

Some of it is on Download, Foos are big enough to do a couple of stadium dates and Download, but they’d have to change their booking policy for that.

Not if you count the fact 2020 every festival in the world cancelled and 2021 was a pilot event...which I did haha.

i guess the original plans would've been them to headline in 2016, then his leg broke, so BMTH was in waiting until Rammstein became available

Bloodstock announcement rules out several bands I would have liked at Download, namely Lamb Of God, Judas Priest, Sepultura, Death Angel, Carpenter Brut and Leprous.

Yeah I thought we might get Judas and Lamb of God as second stage headliners so that’s them ruled out. Overall don’t think there was that many bands announced download will be gutted about losing for next year if I am honest.

Indeed. None of those though remotely are a problem for me being there which means it means loads of opportunities available. That lineup to be honest shows why I wouldn't attend which is fine.

Yeah would have really liked to see them at Download. Bloodstock timing isn't ideal for me, this year it's between a holiday and Arctangent, which is a shame.

My Chem and Wembley confirming or all but confirming a Wembley stadium show via Instagram. Think most people had ruled them out of Download next year but this show all but does that. Wonder if they’ll do more than one date or perhaps a north show as well.
Reckon 2027 is in contention 20 years since they last played.

That might be true.

Ah well. Roll on Yungblud, ADTR and one other.

Yeah doesn’t make sense from Alter Bridge’ view to play a festival before their own show.

Very much up for ADTR and Yungblud and think Yungblud is very likely following the Back to the Beginning performance loved by many.

Reckon Volbeat could be the third main sub? When was the last time they played certainly haven’t in last few years if memory serves me correct.

The way a few people in here talk, you’d think YUNGBLUD appeared out of nowhere and the BBTB cover was the first thing he’s ever done.

If he gets booked to sub, he’s getting booked to sub due to almost a decade of hard work and gradually getting bigger and bigger. He isn’t getting booked to sub off the back of 4 minutes at a tribute show.

I reckon they could just about do it if they got Blink, Maiden and LP in.  I'm not sure they would pull in enough numbers though for a sub slot going by their 2022 show based on the extra numbers though headliners would take in.

His performance will definitely help. Well it was suggested by you he's headliner or nothing now recently so if he was booked to sub after a decade of hard work, what is the extra bit that was getting to get him to headline or nothing if his tribute performance counts for nothing? Doesn't make sense.

His amazing new album and another arena tour selling very well. Of course the one off song would’ve done well for his profile but you can’t discount the years of hard work he has done .
