2026: Ghost, Blink-182 & Linkin Park

2027: Deftones, Iron Maiden & System Of A Down

Iron Maidens current anniversary tour is 2025-2026 and Bruce has been hinting this week they've got more big shows to announce.

With the amount of plgging Andy is doing for Yungblud, he isn't the bookers but I'll be amazed especially with the new direction if Download haven't booked him. It's also good to note that he's made a point about the really expensive like £6/700+ festival costs, but he hasn't played down the idea of playing one's at the standard £3/350 point. After his Sabbath performance he would get a lot of interest there.

Copping is a live nation promoter, and Yungblud has a tour booked at live nation venues. Simple as that.

YUNGBLUD is now too big to do anything other than headline DL or R&L.

He can sub, he's not top big to do anything but headline. You can get upper tier tickets still quite easily got dates and standing comfortably for Birmingham and The 02, I've not checked other dates.

Edit that, Manchester has standing sold out but they have much much lower tier seating then the offers. His Changes cover has become massive but not too big to sub.

The tour isn’t for another NINE months, man.

This is something people need to stop doing; ‘they haven’t instantly sold this show out, there’s no demand there’. There’s three quarters of a year left to sell those tickets. If it gets to April and it’s sold out, the demand is there, clearly.

While that's true, the instant bigger hitters that WILL sell the tickets as a headliners for days costing £135 will be the one's who shift them quickly.

If he sells it out like a month before it makes him a bit more in demand than bullet for example who are nowhere near topping it. It would be horrendous and embarrassing but he definitely wouldn't be as bad as they would be.

The Offspring sold out Slam Dunk at £120 a ticket, they then subbed Download and have instantly sold an arena tour out way in advance for their tour with higher price tickets but they aren't headlining. There are other examples too.

Yungblud would sub because of two reasons:

a) the festival wouldn't want to shine too bright a light on him as it would seem weak (we know it's not, the average festival-goer probably would)

b) YUNGLBUD wouldn't want a light shined too bright on him at a place like Download, he'd rather work his way up and prove himself before being given the big spot.

Sub 2026, headline 2028/9, it feels way more natural and means he isn't immediately in the headliner pool. Save him for later.

This makes no sense.

‘Ayup, Dom. Here’s a load of cash to headline at Donington Park. Hope you’re on board.’

‘Hmm, that sounds too much. I’ll play but I’ll take less money to play below the headliner.’

I'd say for 99% of acts, this would be the case, he seems like an outlier who would rather do something for the "right" reason.

I kinda agree with parts of this.

I don't it's about turning down headline money, not that I think he'll get offered it, I think he's just a more humbled person and wouldn't want something given to him off the strength of a song that captured heavier than he expected at a Sabbath gig....because let's be honest if he got it that's why he would get it. Everyone basically agrees on here he is a sub.

On the sales though, if you take a long time, or a longish time to sell out the tour he has....considering as said some have sold what he has out very much quicker and in advance, then it's more based on a case of peopel deciding yeah we'll go that like I have to be there etc.

I've heard rumours of Download being 4 days again but only heard 3 names being thrown around;  LP, Ghost & Deftones.

When you say "thrown around", thrown by people with actual insider knowledge or randomers on the internet?

People that work within the industry and previous/existing  knowledge of upcoming tours & announcements.

To be fair to Download they usually announce something like this with good notice, which is why I think it might not be true.

This has already been said a billion times last month I think, but no, Download is not returning to 4 days of music. And that’s a good thing.

Also Deftones aren’t headlining next year.

Been told by a mate who has no reason to lie that Linkin Park and GnR are confirmed. Take with a huge pinch of salt as I know what his connections are and they’re tenuous at best but don’t know why he’d make it up when anything he’s hinted to me before has been true.

Seen GnR in Glasgow in 2023 and honestly they were amazing, sure Axl's vocals aren't the greatest anymore but still an incredible show with a 3 hour set, never seen LP but given Wembley sales they'd go down great add in ghost as the 3rd headliner and honestly that would be a huge set of headliners. It would cover multiple generations of fans and keep the new and old crowd happy.

No one is denying the size of GNR but given all the other UK dates recently and his voice it would be a poor booking.

I still think that we'll get a headliner in the same vein as Fall Out Boy and Green Day which Blink-182 are the most likely candidate

I think Ghost will do the Halifax and Gunnersbury Park run so Blink, LP and GNR

Let's hope it's Blink, Maiden and LP. That's the ultimate 3 it could be for me. I'd probably buy a ticket straight away if it was that without waiting for the later cheapies

    • Not necessarily but it should be, Download have a habit of messing it uo when others get the bookings on point. Good Charlotte I doubt are playing 3rd down and that too 3 that day while dreamy is too strong. I think you'd have one another day to help sell weekend tickets. I also doubt Papa Roach play.
    • Here's a bit of a wild stab, few placings may be off, and for all I know half of these won't actually be touring next year, but screw it, it's a bit of fun   Pyramid: Sabrina Carpenter, Phoebe Bridgers, TBA (Florence + The Machine), Garbage, The Last Dinner Party, Interpol, Alex James Britpop Classical Other: Chase & Status, Teddy Swims, Clairo, The Kooks, Zara Larsson, Kingfishr, Sports Team, Orbital West Holts: Robyn, Baby Keem, De La Soul, Deltron 3030, JID, Dua Saleh, kwn, Daniela Latila Woodsies: Bonobo, Darkside, TBA (Tame Impala), Laufey, Warmduscher, Wednesday, The Lottery Winners, The Royston Club, Florence Road Park: Patti Smith, Super Furry Animals, Slayyyter, The Cardigans, Skye Newman, Kelly Lee Owens, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers   Pyramid: Harry Styles, The xx, Richard Ashcroft, The Pogues, Jessie J, Sigrid, Travis Other: Rosalia, Sombr, Mitski, Alex Warren, Holly Humberstone, Cat Burns, Pale Waves, Yard Act West Holts: Basement Jaxx, Elyanna, Clipse, L’Imperatrice, Nation of Language, Jim Legxacy, Yazmin Lacey, RIP Magic Woodsies: Suede, Chvrches, Bleachers, MUNA, The Cribs, Keo, Bleech 9:3, The Lilacs Park: MARINA, Magdalena Bay, Jacob Alon, TBA (Lily Allen performs West End Girl), Getdown Services, Isaac Wood, Snail Mail, Madra Salach Pyramid: Sam Fender, Hozier, David Byrne, Cher, Obongjayar, David Gray, Billy Ocean Other: Doja Cat, Deftones, Addison Rae, Ren, Viagra Boys, Maisie Peters, The Reytons, Hard Life West Holts: Kano, Thievery Corporation, Angine De Poitrine, Thee Sacred Souls, Brooke Combe, Sasha Keable, Master Peace Woodsies: The Wombats, Metronomy, Geese*, Dry Cleaning, EsDeeKid, Sienna Spiro, Cowboy Hunters, Radio Free Alice Park: Big Thief, Laura Marling, MJ Lenderman, Richard Dawson, Oklou, Maruja, Dead Dads Club, Ratboys   *There's always one band booked for Woodsies that ends up being massively under-billed and gets shut down really early. They'd be better off playing somewhere like Other sub, but I could see the G getting them to play a smaller stage while it's still possible
    • Another Kraftwerk one for me today, as just back from seeing them.
    • Completed my 2026 survey. Put down Super Furry Animals as my most wanted for next year but suspect the moment has gone for that. Popped a big shopping list in the box for who else you would like to see. 🙂
