2026

Ghost, Blink 182, Linkin Park

2027

Prodigy, Guns N Roses ( 40th anniversary for Appetite For Destruction) , Deftones

2028

Bring Me The Horizon, Disturbed, Bad Omens

2029

Slipknot, Nickelback,  Limp Bizkit

2030

Sleep Token, Motionless In White, Falling In Reverse

I think The Prodigy will take some time away, their upcoming tour will likely be the end of a 4th year straight touring the UK. One years gap and being booked the same year as Deftones on 3 years running would be awful.

Disturbed also aren't going to headline Download and I'm a big fan. They have sold their told well yes but it's off big album anniversary shows. A lot of bands can do that.

LB trend won't be nearly as high as now in 4 years time, the moment will have faded. Couple of years at the maximum.

Worth repeating: current Iron Maiden tour is this year and next, with Bruce stating they have big things planed for it that they haven't announced yet. If they don't do 2026 then they aren't doing it in 2027.

At one point it was thought from the band even I believe they would be touring into either 26 or 27 or the current tour. If they aren't extending to 2027 now then yes it's 26 or not happening. I don't see Download not grabbing them as who knows how long they'll be away or. They have stated recently top though they they still have time to go yet and they aren't done but you might want to get them at the point of big praise for their show and tour and not a little down the line when they've wained a bit.

Even if the current ‘run for your lives’ tour ends in Autumn 26, there’s nothing to say they won’t be on to a ‘new’ themed tour by summer 27. It’s pretty standard for Maiden to do that.

NIN taking a second stage headliner spot, surely not chance? Marilyn surely got to be there too.

Your Saturday would just about get me there on a cheaper ticket but for the Sunday I'll have my Wembley ticket and enjoy it as that's about as bad as they could book a LP day for me to return, no interest in any of them.

True. Since 2006, they have never had a period I don't believe when they've been in the UK and not toured at least 2 years, a lot of them into 3. There hasn't as far as I can see been a time when they have come to the UK to play for one year, then had a year off and come back, even when it was just one festival date. So playing just 25 and not being here in 26 in itself would be almost breaking a habit of their last 20 years touring. Based on that you'd have to imagine that Download 2026 looks strong as 2022 was on the Legacy of the Beast tour and this is a different one tour.

So I'm going with based on everything I've been told and logic:

Blink/Ghost/Parkway Drive

Maiden

LP

Parkway Drive is with a heavy pinch of salt though with thise other two, it would be the year if any for them to do it. Personally I think they'll sub with Parkway Drive, Yungblud and ADTR being those guesses.

Controversial maybe but that Friday main stage is one of the most stacked I’ve ever seen for my taste. If not Bat Sabbath then maybe Uncle Acid in there somewhere.

Avril vs Bloodhoung Gang would be a pain lol but the top 4 Friday main is great. I'm not sure NFG would get 4th down now still.

No way Mudvayne are coming right over here to headline the Dogtooth stage.

While She Sleeps most likely play 3rd down now and MIW probably 3rd too.

The Prodigy headlining Opus is a waste of time unless they clash with the headliner, too bright. It's practically still pure daylight.

I don't know why but I thought Mudvayne and Fear Factory who have headlined that stage are at a similar level of popularity but looking at monthly listeners I was very wrong lol

Current tour setlist is ideal for a festival though.

There is a lot of logic to say they'll be in the UK next year whether it's Download or not. As said before, only checked back to 2006 briefly but that's a 20 year minimum way of touring that would need to suddenly change. So im going with Download as I've got no suggestion of them being anywhere else.

I would see 13 bands on there, placement is a bit of everywhere but hey. Clash wise would make that 11. Friday would be a no brainer. Saturday and Sunday would have to be heavily reduced day tickets. I'd see Amyl, Rob and Skindred then head for exit. Sunday I'm not sure I'd even bother getting in before LP so I'd probably head home and go back.

Main stage headliners get too much attention; who do we think will take up some of the other logo slots? I think the following:

Main subs: Volbeat, A Day To Remember, Architcts

Main third downs: Killswitch Engage, Motionless In White, Electric Callboy

Second Stage headliners: Ice Nine Kills, Alice In Chains, Lamb of God

ADTR and Yungblud im pretty convinced with. I'll take Volbeat over Architects.

Main stage headliners will, tickets cost £135 a day or £350 for a weekend ticket as that needs paying for. The headliners are the costly bands that do that.

If you're giving me Volbeat, ADTR, and MIW as my likes from the first two, none of those second stage interest me but they clash with subs anyway and asking me to pay either £350 over the weekend or £135 for a day I'm telling you where to go lol. Because I know for a fact, ADTR won't get the same set they did at Slam Dunk for example and they undercard below them won't be as good through the day either. Also...I'd have never paid £150 for a Slam Dunk day ticket, my day was worth £120 but luckily I got super early bird.

So many placement are all over the place but I would still see 30 bands.

Out of interest which bands do you think are out of place?

I put Skindred to headline avalanche because Enter Shikari did it in 2019 after playing higher up in the years before

Second stage headliners didn't clash with main stage subs this year I don't think (I could be wrong)
