Fairplay, I stand corrected. Doesn't make it any stranger a time to announce mind.

Oh aye sorry mate, that wasn’t specifically at you. Was just looking into it being their standard practice now. Totally agree that 09:15pm is a bizzare time to announce on paper.

As @Andre91 points out, they do that influencer event thing now too so it’ll be for that as well, someone there managed to leak it last time too I think.

To be honest I remember thinking previously when it was being announced late once now I think of it why was it so late, just get it done early lol. But of course it's not until things like this that trigger the memory.

I doubt the extra 15 mins means much.

There is no difference between 4pm and 4.15 pm or 22:00 and 22:15 in Europe.

Why would Ghost all of a sudden be ruled out because of an extra 15 mins.

it's probably something to do with the gala they hold

Saying the announcement time rules Ghost out is a mad take

To be fair to these comments, I had already clearly said fairplay and said I stand corrected so I don't see the need continue to point out it was a wrong take.

I'll also add here that the rock show starts at 8pm i believe so it wouldn't have been 15 minutes, it would have been 1hr 15 minutes being a fair time to wait but that's been covered now anyway.

Not yet but they have two headliners unannounced. I believe Bad Omens are headlining the Friday.

I could definitely see them giving Bizkit the Sat

I don’t think there would be too much of an issue with RFP > Download > Greenfield considering Limp Bizkit have minimal production but not sure if that’s a bit mad logistically or if they do 3 days in a row.

So now Limp Bizkit might not be playing, Christ this is painful

They might be headlining.

Or not playing at all.

Or sub headlining.

Or headlining the 2nd stage.

I think it's fair to say no one knows f**k all other than Linkin Park are probably one headliner and Hot Milk are playing somewhere.

I’ve got 50p on Elvana turning up myself.

    • Any festival is going to face most of the same limitations just by the nature of the event. It's not realistic to accommodate custom staging that extends out deep into the field. Trying to do so and trying to rebuild those kind of structures at the front of the field every day would severely impact on other performers, potentially even including other headliners. It'd also drive everyone involved insane. The most you can get away with is a basic extension that doesn't hide anything fancy. Remember that a lot of the time on these big choreographed shows, the stage extension itself will contain all manner of things to help the show beyond just being a simple platform. Also remember that these structures are designed to be assembled and operate on perfectly flat stadium or arena floors.   In terms of the stage itself - yes, the Pyramid is undersized (I believe 16 metres wide at rigging level). The de facto industry standard has become 20 metres and so it likely does need increasing and apparently there are plans to do so. But that only helps with artists that can largely confine themselves to the stage.   The Other Stage is already 20 metres - to be exact the Other Stage structure is the same model that Serious Stages provide to Reading, Leeds, Download etc for use as their Main Stage and there's nothing larger (at least off the shelf) in their catalogue. So no reason to change that.
    • Can someone remind me, on Harry Styles specifically - have we had any concrete info on him?   I don't personally remember saying much/anything on him, though I have just been away for a month, so could be forgetting something.
