So my source back in July basically said Ghost and Linkin Park with a special Iron Maiden day tacked on but that Maiden day turned out to be held elsewhere. This is usually the problem with hearing stuff so early, things arent always clear or the details aren't in place yet. It happened last year especially as things changed! Whether or not LP and Ghost are correct, we'll see. There's a 3rd headliner who I haven't heard anything about yet. Personally expecting Limp Bizkit though.

My information might be wrong or just out of date now so take it with a huge pile of salt but that's what I heard.

Looking very likely it’s going to be Limp Bizkit, Ghost & Linkin Park which would follow a very similar mould to what they did last year. They could then follow up in 27 with MCR, Deftones & the next bump up Falling In Reverse if he has a visa? Unless we get a shocker in the Primavera announcement this week. If they announce NIN then there’s a chance but if not Ghost makes the most sense.

You have completely made that up.

It's not really made up is it. Half of fhe arena. I literally can't describe how empty Birmingham was for them, I entered near the back of standing and the whole area was dead half way back and then it was sporadic. 20 minutes before the end of a headline show I should be weaving through people very tightly. People still went to get a drink or go toilet and made it back to the spot before Bullet came on incredibly easy. So while it's not a stone wall fact, do the maths of half an arena. The Hives supporting Offspring had a bigger crowd.

Sub headliners will be taken up by Yungblud (Bludfest rumoured to be elsewhere next year & already in Europe), Bad Omens & Volbeat.

Think our 2nd stage headliners will Trivium, Papa Roach & A Perfect Circle.

I doubt Papa Roach will accept it pal

Yes, you completely made up a figure.

So do the maths. I'll give them 8.5 at the most and im for from the only person who has acknowledged who the big pull there was.

Another completely made up figure.

You think Bizkit are a sh*t headliner option and you don’t like Trivium. We all get it. You don’t need to keep beating the same drums over and over.

Try focusing on the bands you do like who are likely to be there and say something positive for a change.

Any chance of BMTH/The Cure/LP? Or do we reckon BMTH are skipping UK and Nova Rock have the Cure as an exclusive. I just struggle to see Limp Bizkit being back so soon or them shelling out so much to get GnR as an exclusive.

Either way looking at the other festivals there is some really great bands about.

We've had bands return within a year between sets before and Oli did say they're taking a break and it seems they mean just from the UK unless those plans have since changed.

At the moment it seems to be Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park with a possibility of either Ghost or BMTH as the 3rd headliner

The Cure aren’t exclusive to Nova Rock, they’re also playing Rock En Seine in France at the end of August. They’re rumoured for Primavera, Rock Wertcher and IOW festival as well.

That would make sense to be fair if they wanted Ghost Maiden Linkin Park but Maiden decided to do their own UK show knowing they could get more money and it’s left Download scrambling for a third headliner. But if they aren’t paying GnR massive amount of money surely you’d rather book BMTH to headline as a proven winner over Limp Bizkit. Unless it comes down to BMTH not wanting to play UK next year which would make sense to be fair given how much theyve played.

My only question mark is Ghost it’s all gone very quiet on their front. I’d much rather Limp Bizkit Ghost Linkin Park than GnR.

He’s such a charming bloke though? Like when he kept saying Download “can’t even sell out at 75k”, despite me pointing out that they had already done just that 😂 not sure what he gets out of being here tbh.

Ah you mean that same situation if you bothered to take notice that people CAMPED AT THE FESTIVAL AT THE TIME said they could buy weekend tickets despite it saying sold out?

@DomDom1984 even said it passed him by.

Stop being full of crap Sidney, you've been called out all over the shop on here so don't come across at the charming and adhereing person on here.

He can add me to the ignored all he wants lol, he'll lose more sleep over that that I will. No need ro be so protective over bands you like and ignore the obvious things lol. SOOO many bands I like but I can recognise their size and sales capacity worth and it bothers me not one bit but hey, upto him. Spilt milk.

Massively in denial jesus christ lol! Bets you do ignore me and the fact that 16k halved is 8!, do tbe maths!

Not liking a band has nothing to do with where theg can play jesus, tbe ego tripping over our favourite bands is mad!!!

Yup, LB  an headline Wembley Arena and headline Download wotj the AO and Pb pulse, yet Good Charlotte could do the same and only headline Slam Dunk, the clueless approach do only suit it to one's own narrative is amazing! Bye bye lol

Papa Roach is gonna be a fun time! (If they aren't there after I've said this I'm not going to be happy)

See it isn't that hard lol

Exactly how I treat festivals these days, a nice break away with my mates.  The music is just a bonus

Mate chill a bit, it’s a forum where we talk about bands and festivals, it doesn’t have to be so intense or argumentative all the time.

“All over the shop” meaning maybe 2 negative interactions over the span of years. No idea who with, some chill, charming guy who never gets red in the face over nothing, no doubt.

The only thing I would say re: Ghost is that the band themselves confirmed a couple of months back that they have ongoing tour plans until the end of 2026. What exactly that means, I dunno, but I’m not writing them off just yet.

    • Tonight was a disgrace. There wasn't *that* much rain, and it wasn’t *that* windy. A festival of this size should be able to withstand some adverse weather without it bringing the whole circus to a standstill. And if it is true that part of a speaker on the Revolut stage fell…   As for the communication - announcing Massive Attack were playing at 12:30 and then nothing for over an hour while people waited in the rain. It’s laughable it really is.   If I said I’ll never come back again I’d be lying. The shambles of Barcelona 2022 and the disgrace of Madrid 2023 didn’t stop me, so this probably won’t either.   This festival gets so much wrong, but it is always saved by having such killer line-ups. It’s just a shame it treats the fans/customers/consumers like animals. Compare it to somewhere like Glastonbury and it’s worlds apart.
    • Yeah, I admit that a small part of me felt relieved when they announced that MA are canceled.. But on the positive side- got to see Florence Road afterall, and they were great
    • Glad I could take the €3 bus to Playa Catalunya! Hope y'all warm and dry up.
