It could still be GNR but them not being announced for any festivals puts that into doubt

Unless they get them as an exclusive to download I highly doubt they’ll be here. Throws that 3rd band into a world of possibilities

Friday MainStage is epic, Sunday is clash central for me

Look at the RAR announcement...it's gonna be Limp Bizkit, BMTH and Linkin Park.

Can’t see it being BMTH so soon, definitely if they’ve got LB playing and they both played reading this year, which was an easy way for uk fans to see them both

Far far easier to go from Austria to Czechia than Austria to download, although they did headline Rock For People in 2024.

They did, but also headlined Nova in 2024 so doesn't seem to be an issue, seems to be a recurring theme of lack of headline talent, plenty of great acts kicking around the undercards though which helps make up for it.

Good point, maybe they do have new music coming before next summer after all. The undercards at Nova and RaR are by some distance the most exciting things about those lineups for me.

Compared that to RAR

For me, it seems as If download might of got an act for the 3rd headliner as a download exclusive, definitely if BMTH get announced for rock for people tomorrow

If Download get an exclusive it's likely a band either no one wants to book or book as their headliner.

I think if MM was a potential then one of RAR or Nova would have got him. It'll look a soppy if Download booked him while loads don't. The sticking out thing is that Trivium were definitely a 3rd down/second stage headliner.

So my source back in July basically said Ghost and Linkin Park with a special Iron Maiden day tacked on but that Maiden day turned out to be held elsewhere. This is usually the problem with hearing stuff so early, things arent always clear or the details aren't in place yet. It happened last year especially as things changed! Whether or not LP and Ghost are correct, we'll see. There's a 3rd headliner who I haven't heard anything about yet. Personally expecting Limp Bizkit though.

My information might be wrong or just out of date now so take it with a huge pile of salt but that's what I heard.

Wasn't it LB, Guns and Lp yesterday or bmth instead of guns?

Looks likely BMTH are getting announced for another festival tomorrow which would rule them out of Download. A few festivals have a headliner still to announce which could very well end up being Ghost unless Download has them as an exclusive

I wonder where the GNR rumour came from then

Or it's a band that wouldn't fit their festival as most of the European festivals are a lot more Metal/hard rock orientated

Blink or Paramore would never play those festivals
