You'll pick up a Download ticket no bother if you want one. They probably just sold less early bid too. Late bird is awful marketing lol. Wouldn't ever consider purchasing a ticket until that lineup drop is done. With Download, you need to know who's could ideally be on the dogtooth stage as it's the only stage that clashes with main.

Queens wouldn't do a gig themselves at Spurs stadium that's 60k tickets, they've also only just finished touring. Let's be honest, SOAD aren't going to play Rock and Roll Circus in Sheffield are they. There is definitely no co-headline about it, SOAD aren't coming over to share duties.

Multiple dates is possible with that Manchester date talked about, bit theh won't be doing multiple London venues or you would just do Wembley.

I buy my ticket the Monday/Tuesday after every year.

Yep. I said at Download this year my guess was Ghost Linkin Park and then either Blink or Maiden. Glad I’m not the only one thinking it.

I think everyone will be a bit surprised if it wasn't. There is still time for Ghost to announce the rumored Gunnersbury run though.

Yeah it seems to be the logical choice. Be interesting if Ghost did announce those shows as no clue who else really is in contention to headline.

LP, Ghost and NIN then if there is no Maiden

That would be a real let down, not a NIN fan at all. For me they’d be a weak headliner but that’s me. I’d much rather have Maiden to be honest.

If it’s not Maiden I’m hoping Blink. If it’s not Blink it could be anyone and will depend on how much money they want to spend on the festival. If they’re going cheap route I can see NIN being given it.

In a no Ghost and no Maiden scenario:

Friday

Apex: Blink-182 / Yungblud / Ice Nine Kills / President.

Opus: Alice In Chains / Acid Bath

Avalanche: Bloodhound Gang

Dogtooth: Cavalera performing Chaos A.D.

_____

Saturday

Apex: Twenty One Pilots / Wolf Alice / Turnstile / Hot Milk

Opus: Volbeat / The Pretty Reckless

Avalanche: While She Sleeps

Dogtooth: Chimaira

____

Sunday

Apex: Linkin Park / Bad Omens / Motionless In White / Malevolence

Opus: Trivium / Mastodon

Avalanche: Yellowcard

Dogtooth: Bloodbath

Potential headliners who haven’t been ruled out:

- Linkin Park

- Ghost

- Blink

- Iron Maiden (not officially ruled out)

- Slipknot

- Tool

- BMTH (not ruled out despite Oli’ comments)

- Limp Bizkit

- Twenty One Pilots

- NIN

- GnR

- AC/DC

- Foo Fighters (though they’ll do R&L)

- Nickelback

- Paramore

- Pearl Jam (very unlikely)

- Rammstein

- Muse

Anyone think of any other bands to include in this headliner mix of who hasn’t been ruled out via tours officially that could headline?

Really good line-up that

Could be next year is one of those rare years we don't have a British Headliner

With 21P playing Germany the week after Download surely they are a good shout for next year

Hopefully we get an announcement before November this year
