The Download forums aren't perfect. They tend to be an echo chamber of the same opinions that mostly turn out to be wrong, a lot of comments are said so people will give them likes instead of adding to the conversation and every now and then, someone would give an opinion that would make even the dimmest of the Facebook crowd confused. Still, I love the forums. I find out about tours, festivals, announcements and upcoming album releases through there and have definitely enjoyed having conversations with the majority of people! It's a shame to see them go for sure

Last time I saw this same guy leaking a list of bands, he got almost everything right, including the Faith No More reunion that was supposed to happen in 2020.

 

 

Can imagine Download bringing in Yellowcard, MIW, NFG, maybe The Bouncing Souls though probably a better fit for Slam Dunk, Split Chain and TSSF would be good. Probably others too that I'm not bothered about. A few of those though after Green Day would be decent targets.

No one can deny its good for tour news, and I'll admit it's handy for that. But the debates, opinions etc are really bad. I think people purposely post outlandish comments to try and outdo each other.

I’m actually fairly disappointed by that @northernangel. To use my profession against me as an insult isn’t very nice. Education is already undervalued enough in British society. Gosh, if we were in Scandinavia or Finland (especially Finland), a disgruntled mob would be at your door now for being so disparaging towards one of the most highly respected and valued professions in the land!

Won't play 2026, next time they play they'll headline. Can see it being as far as 2028, depends who else is in the running for 2027.

They're kinda testing the waters in US festivals, headlining 2nd stage or subbing Main this year. I can see them doing the same with the European ones next year.

Obviously not serious but I think Slayer are cooked after their outdoor run this summer seemed to cause headaches by not shifting tickets, to the point they were heavily discounted.

 

By all means 2nd stage or main sub, but they are not headliners.
