Pyramid

Harry Styles

Chappell Roan or Sabrina Carpenter (Swift would be the dream but I dunno)

Oasis

Other

Imagine Dragons

Foals

Lorde

Oasis have ruled out doing it multiple times. There's no way Glastonbury books either of Sabrina Carpenter or Chappell Roan as Pyramid headliners - I know it's a pop festival but both of them are not the right type of pop to headline Glastonbury. I can't see Harry Styles doing it either, although he is the right type of pop for  the festival. Foals and Imagine Dragons aren't big enough to headline Other. Lorde hasn't been relevant for years and would be a strange booking,

Oasis ruled it out for this year, that was all.

Nope, they ruled it out full stop. Their own dates are the only chance to see them and they've been publicly trashing the festival as an event saying they won't play it. Go ahead though and spout your usual uninformed crap as if it's concrete fact like you normally do though you complete weapon.

No they haven't, you're talking shite. The same Liam and Noel that subbed the festival in recent years for about a tenner and a packet of Harino yeah! Tell me you don't know about social media attention without telling me lol.

Haha, for the rubbish you get called out on for saying on here to call someone else a weapon is ironic!, and tragic!

Liam Gallagher was tweeting about he'd only played Glastonbury because he was forced to play it and completely trashed the crowd as a bunch of middle aged teachers - he's in no hurry to go back and do it again and I wouldn't be surprised if one of the terms of the reunion is not playing Glasto.

I just post what I'm thinking unlike a complete wind up merchant like yourself recently described as the troll boss of efests by another poster, hard for you to pick up on other people getting called names when you're that aloof. You are a weapon as well, at least I don't have people crawling for the ignore button every time I post like you...

Liam’s literally gone on record in the past 2 months saying he’d never play the pyramid stage at glastonbury again. It aint ever gonna happen

We're talking on a music forum lol, not mates that meet up every week in the pub after work on Friday.

You sound like a winey little man, at least I don't have this, at least I don't have that! What are you 5?, as bad as the testicle of a man block.

Liam's also, as pointed out by other users in this thread, went on record in official channels saying he'll never play the Pyramid at Glastonbury again but keep suggesting Oasis as a headliner for the next 18 months and act all surprised when they don't do it.

It's not just Sidney mate, and the fact you could recall one of the people instantly suggests it hurt you a bit whatever you say. And it's a good job were not mates that meet up in a pub as no-one would be able to stand your company. It wasn't him that called you the troll boss of efests either despite it being an accurate description.

I'm not a whiny little man, I can assure you of that. That's a pathetic insult, you're embarrassing yourself.

Got to be honest, I see no difference between Olivia Rodrigo or Dua Lipa compared with Sabrina Carpenter as "Pop" headliner. Chappell Roan probably needs 1 more big album. Sabrina just has more showmanship about her.

Not that I'd see any of them mind you - I just find it weird that she is regarded as the wrong type of pop.

I can assure you it was Siddey in the Download thread and I'm mot your mate. Proof read what you're saying. As for the rest, might be worth your time, not mine.

I guess Due is a bit more "dance adjacent" and so felt a bit more Glastonbury to me and appropriate for the audience.

I think Sabrina would be okay now she's toned it down a bit, she's not the worst option out there and I'd probably prefer her to Chappell who I think has a better song than both but for me her catalogue is limited, that's me though. I dont think based on her previous on stage ways Glastonbury would have booked her.

Id say i would be surprised id the 2027 line up did not include a Headline slot from either Sabrina Carpenter or Chappell Roan

The pop market moves fast, there'll be a new darling of the industry by 2027. If they were going to be booked it would have been 2026 - but they're not the right type of pop anyway.

I still have no idea what "right type

of pop" means? Pop is pop.

How are they any different to Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, Olivia Rodrigo? Etc

Isn't it obvious? Artistic merit to start

It's obviously not obvious if someone has to ask...stop being patronising.

I honestly see little to no difference between them in terms of "Artistic merit". Sabrina Carpenter has just headlined BST, would headline most festivals around the world and was Taylor Swift's support act for years. Chappell Roan has literally just headlined R&L. Glastonbury just books acts who they think people want to see.

I wouldn't see any of them but your point is far from "obvious"

Only a thicko wouldn't be able to see the obvious differences between artists like Rodrigo and Swift and a lowest common denominator crap like Sabrina Carpenter.

Yeah, nice constructive post that after the warning a couple of posts above.

You've really cleared things up.

Glastonbury would book Carpenter to headline in a heartbeat if she was available and wanted to do it. It's obvious.

Have you actually listened to a Sabrina Carpenter song in your life? It's not Pyramid headliner material. The lyrics are shite, the music is generic. There's simply no comparison between her and once in a generation artists and deserving headliners like Taylor Swift or Olivia Rodrigo. You really are a thicko.

That's better - well done!

I have listened to a few Sabrina Carpenter songs and it's generally mindless pop, her edge is she tries to be adult about it. It does nothing for me but "Please, please, please" was competent pop tune.

Despite your squorking, she has more in common with her and contempories like Swift and Rodrigo than not. They all write fairly mindless, yet accessible pop. If she stays popular and relevant over the next 5 years then I have no doubt she will headline Glastonbury.

I've just read the last couple of pages.  Not only are you a weapon, you're clueless and also a bit rude.
