Pukkelpop 2025

There is a really interesting package being offered by one booking agency (PlayBook) to a lot of European august/september festivals for next year: The Get Up Kids + Les Savy Fav.

It would be a interesting booking. I expect them in Ypsigrock & Paredes de Coura for sure, but not sure about Vert+Pukkelpop+Lowlands.

I've heard about The Interrupters playing August european festivals. I see them taking an early slot at Main Stage. Too big for topping the Backyard (imo).

I am also curious about Within Temptation. Playing a festival 60km away from Hasselt same weekend and no Belgian date in summer 25 yet. Will they take The Offspring/Limp Bizkit slot?

Also Charli XCS and Amelie Lens seems really posible to be high in the Line-Up (girlz power!)

Post Malone? 21 Pilots? Let's see.

QOTSA have announced their first date for 2025 (Las Vegas in April).

Do you think their they will come back to Europe in August 2025?

I think re-scheduling the US dates to June makes July/August in Europe more likely. They probably didn‘t plan on touring a third year in a row so putting dates close together makes sense logistically with hiring equipment and crew.

Don't think they'll be back in Europe this year.

They've also rearranged cancelled US dates to June 2025.

Who knows. Certainly possible.

Bloodstock announced today

For a deep heavy metal fan that's probably sound.

I Prevail & Fever 333 for two of the backyard headline slots?

Pretty sure I Prevail will take this spot. About Fever 333, not sure they'll tour in Europe next year. They cancelled their tour this year because of Jason mental health.

Two of these names look to be Last Dinner Party and Royel Otis. Can see both of them being announced for Pukkelpop.

King Giz are ruled out, they're in the States that weekend.

Goat, Deadletter and George Clanton, among others, are in the first announcement by Manchester Psych Fest (Aug-30) and they're all possible pkp-undercard names

The names in that MS Dockville poster look like:

The Last Dinner Party

Royel Otis

(A name I don't get, starting with M and ending with KID)

Nieve Ella

Frytz

Kabeaushé

I Prevail have announced 3 festivals from August 14th to 17th in France, Germany and Netherlands. Checking their previous tours they never play 4 days in a row, so I woudnt count on them for Pukkelpop.

Lost out on Glasto tickets last night - Pukkelpop always the trusty back-up despite the following week being best man at a friends wedding.

Any other rumours worth their salt going?

Not rumours but QOTSA are supporting Linkin Park in the States in September so they've got to be considered to make up for this year's absence.

My latest predictions are..

Last Dinner Party / OATW / Post Malone / Amelie Lens

Khruangbin / Charli XCX / Justice

De Jeugd Van Vandaag / Papa Roach / Idles / QOTSA

Marquee - Jamie XX, Paul Kalkbrenner, Michael Kiwanuka, Royel Otis, Parcels, Franz Ferdinand, Strand of Oaks

If I were to pick 5 likeliest to be there it would be Amelie Lens, Khruangbin, Charli XCX and QOTSA and Last Dinner Party. Reckon Justice will be one of the closers also.

I know I saw Calvin Harris at TITP like 5 times but is OATW still being consistently big? I always say people that they are like what Biffy is to Scotland.

That line-up would sell me with the always diverse and good undercard.

Will have been 3 years since OATW last played. He's a cheaper option that gets a big crowd in Belgium so think he'll be there. Fine by me if its for the benefit of the undercard.

Thought the line up this year was the strongest for years personally. Dance Hall was back to its best, The Booth was excellent and enjoyed the Club bands on the Sunday especially. Thought the Boiler was really poor though overall, definitely room for improvement there this year.

    • No dramas man, I just like to follow others journeys as well. Get the inspiration, give out inspiration and the outdoors is the clear the head place to do it. I'm heading out for a easy trail run today I think, 10k- 10 mile we'll see how we go. I've got a half marathon in October I'm well unprepared for hahs
    • The Cheap Thrills at Mountford Hall, Liverpool.    They've been around for a while and have built up a large local following. Last night was their biggest yet, at a sold out 2,200 capacity venue.    It was a big old joyous, indie singalong from start to finish, the band clearly having the time of their lives. The debut album is out next month and they seem to be going down well on the festival circuit, maybe their time has finally come.   2 supports, I unfortunately missed Credits but the few songs they have on Spotify sound good, Americana vibes. The other was M60, reportedly Gary Neville's favourite band. If that's true, he's as clueless about music as he is football. To be fair, their sound was poor, maybe with a clearer sound they'd have been better but it was pretty dull.
    • I can see them all merging along with the Tory’s . Restore curently couldn’t muster enough candidates to be a viable option . I lasted 4 mins and couldn’t watch any more . Lowe is just dull along with racist
