Holy hell what on earth is that? That’s by far the worst turnout for a headliner I have ever seen. What’s the context here because this looks embarrassing beyond belief.

If there were 6 for instance,  that would be different, people would come to the island earlier, eat there, ... Nowadays, it's like SZIGET is ("musicaly speaking") happening between 5pm to 4am 😕 

They really should do like other fests', put some shows starting 1pm on MainStage and/or Revolut.

I think 3 acts a day is fine if there is other stuff to do as well. If it's a purely music based festival then you need more. That's why I'm kinda glad with the likes of Werchter I'm out because like with Download for exmaple, if you're only curious with some acts at the very max, it doesn't take long to lose interest quickly. Sziget appeals for a few reasons but I've got a couple on only a couple of days. I'd say the first day and the final day are the best for me both one act mainly on two separate days. Refused is the big one there but no doubt will clash with either Chappell or TLDP

Lido is a new London-based series of one day festivals held at Victoria Park in the city. Massive Attack headlined last week, London Grammar headline tonight.

 

Last night Charli XCX headlined. Daughter says the picture makes the turnout look worse than it was but, I dunno, it looks ridiculously sparse to me.

EDIT: I've had a look online at articles posted prior to the event and they're all stating the Charli day is sold out, so who knows??

I’ve seen some videos from last night and it looked pretty busy. Might just be a case of angle/perspective making it look so sparse

I was there and it was absolutely packed. Not enough space for such a huge crowd. Also, it was really badly organised. And the show was only 1hr long😮

Mindchatter, rival consoles and caity baser announced for the revolut. S10 also no longer performing, which still leaves us one act short for the revolut stage if my maths is correct

No announcement about a new Revolut stage as yet. I assume it isn't coming in that case. They'll start building it in a month or so...

The post seems to be deleted now, but still showing in the app. It sounds less like a new stage and more along the lines of some upgrades to the existing system

Revamped, recharged and refined?

 

Lots of nice marketing words, but a bit more detail would've been nice.

 

Improved sound? Improved layout? A bit more clarity is needed really.

Someone's asked what the upgrades are on Facebook, and Sziget has responded with:

 

"We're upgrading the tent inside-out to provide you a more spectacle show experience. More info coming soon."

 I mean Revolut has always been my favourite, and I also recently liked the sound, so any upgrade is welcome.

 

However I’m more sceptical about the main stage now…

 

It’s eerie that 50 days before the event no mention of any upgrade to that stage. If the main stage will largly stay the same, Anyma will look stupid on that stage unless they themselves bring the leds..?

On the app there is a ‘more’ section which includes the schedule page. Will be worth keeping an eye on it in case anything starts to pull through before the announcement tomorrow

Would they change the entire stage, expense that would bring. Just for 1 headliner, who perhaps isnt obe of the best sellers.

They’re saying the revolut stage lineup is complete but on the 7th there is one act less than the other days. I hope it means justice are performing an extended set. In reality it’s probably just that the setup for justice takes too long and they need a bigger gap to get it done
