I love Wombats but they would be opening slot material at best. They opened the stage in 2015 (6 p.m. slot) and I think they were more hyped back then. But since it is a replacement so close to the event, I think at least it will be a fun show.

I'm sure I've just seen Sam Fender's sax player in Cascais.

Either that or someone has decided to dress up as him, too colours, blue bucket hat, the lot.

That is an incredible spot if true

It makes no sense really. Bloke outside the Irish bar. Blue bucket hat, baggy shirt in Newcastle colours, beard.

Looks like the bloke from Fender's band.

On the one hand, why would he be there. The tour is cancelled.

On the other, why would a fan cos-play as a the sax player.

Some mysteries will never be solved.

Really enjoyed the first night! Bad Nerves kicked things off early doors with energy and attitude. Benson was great, but apart from him we had our fun in the Heiney, Glass Animals, Barry Can’t Swim all great. Parov Stelar brought the party!

If anyone is still around next week, Ezra Collective are playing Cascais CoolJazz on 15th July.

We’ll be there. We’re so lucky to be over here for two weeks 😊, we saw Benjamin Clementine at Cool Jazz last Friday, he’s an incredible performer! Then we got to experience the mighty Iron Maiden in Lisbon on Sunday 🙌

Feeling very grateful!!
