Info from LPlive is that Linkin Park will be announced for NOS

Person who posted on LPLive, is the same person that's here saying Nos is trying for guns, which is bs.
Still think they will be announced for nos.
Weird that there's no teasing like at other venues (even festivals like I days Milan)

 why do think its bs?

my source was right on past editions , was right about olivia. Slash has been on record saying 2025 will be a GnR year.

have no reasons to doubt what´s been said to me so far

Alive's Secondary is incredibly good.

Hey Dan, do you mean in general or specifically next year? I know you're fairly well connected with intel on some festivals in Portugal and I've always fancied a return trip to Nos. One of my favourite festivals but I've never been able to make it work past 2016 (one of the best line ups ever for the price it was too!)

Hey, the information I have is more about festivals in the north of Portugal (Vilar de Mouros, Paredes de Coura and Primavera)

How secondary I am talking about previous editions. ;)

Ah that's fair enough buddy!

(Apologies, it won't let me add a 'thanks' react) but as always appreciate the info! I'm just thinking about the secondary stage the year I went now; Vintage Trouble, John Grant, Wolf Alice, Soulwax, 2ManyDJs, Jagwar Ma, Courtney Barnett, Father John Misty, Two Door Cinema Club, Hot Chip, Four Tet, Grimes and Ratatat. Insane for a second stage for a festival that cost less than £100 at the time.

im sorry , i pay 90€ to see big bands.

i´ve been to NOS almost all editions starting in 2007 and i´ve only seen one band in the heiniken stage , Silent Film which were a good surprise.

Dont have time to waste seeing indie bands , otherwise u get stuck way in the back of the main stage

but to each his own always and yes im aware the heiniken stage is usually very strong for the crowd its suppose to attract , its just not for me

Bands that are currently on the main stage that I have seen on the secondary stage of NOS Alive:

Idles
Cages the Elephant
Royal Blood
Blossoms
Two Door Cinema Club
Father John Misty
Kodaline
Wolf Alice
Metronomy

Johnny Marr

These are bands between 2015-2020

all those bands mean nothing to me expect Kodaline which my wife loves.

Two Door Cinema were boring as hell in 2012 i think before Green Day , oh i enjoyed Royal Blood in 2022 before Metallica yeah , so there is that

As you said, everyone has their own personal preferences, and that’s okay.

I find myself avoiding the main stage at the last few editions of NOS Alive. The big crowd of fans from major bands usually ruins my experience. For example, in 2018, I had a great and peaceful dinner while Pearl Jam were playing, after their fans completely ruined the Jack White concert by constantly talking and making noise. But then I had a great MGMT show, probably my favorite of that year.

For instance, I watched Linkin Park twice: at Rock in Rio in 2008 (and really enjoyed the second band of the day, a group called Muse), and again at Rock in Rio, I think it was in 2012 or 2014. I don’t see any reason to watch them again in a version I consider worse than the ones I’ve already saw.

    • Other things I noted yesterday, away from the obvious…   Positives: - an extra water point towards the back left of the main stages has appeared, which I believe is new for this year (and was much needed) - handing out free ponchos was a good touch  - caroline were fantastic. I’d never been in the Auditori Rockdelux before, it’s a wonderful venue and a great venue if you fancy a more chilled out environment  Negatives: - the talkers. I know it’s always bad here (and most festivals nowadays) but f**k me people wouldn’t shut up yesterday. I wonder if it was partly as a result of people being at artists they had little interest in (due to rain limiting their options), although it wasn’t great during blood orange. We’ll be making an effort to get a spot nearer the front for anyone we particularly care about over the weekend  - not enough staff around (and the ones that are there are largely useless). Most other festivals have them everywhere and are happy to help
